Okay, I'll just be myself and also be confident so my inside chadness can outsmart ETS niggers
score 100 at TOEFL isn't so hard
don't be afraid
Currently reading the guns of august,
Fuck dumb *onarchs
No
Okay
Your English seems perfectly fine already.
Just bunker down on reading and listening to stuff in English and trying to learn more words, I guess.
I basically tried to avoid using my own language as much as I could; reading, browsing, gaming, music, etc, everything you do should be in english. It also helps if you have any native english speaking friends, you can ask them to correct any mistake they spot (tell them to be honest, that it won't hurt your feelings! It's important you mention this since some are hesitant when pointing out flaws) and if you both are comfortable you could practice speaking with them, helps a lot with pronunciation and speaking more loosely/confidently. These daily life practices help a lot more than regular studying, imo.
i never studied TOEIC and got 845 on my first try
TOEFL can't be that hard either
That's because I spent like 3~5 minutes to fix my post
Well, you didn't make any major mistakes. Everything was very natural besides:
>I have to score over 100 at TOEFL
This should really be "on the TOEFL".
I'm learning Japanese and have tried posting a few times in the Japanese threads here, and I can tell you it takes me a lot longer than 3-5 minutes to come up with my posts, and I have very little confidence that they're actually correct when I hit "submit".
Fiction is better for language learning
Is it? How come?
I read anime subtitle
You don't need to prepare for it much, just watch some youtube tutorials, practice speaking, and if you have a 700+ R&W SAT, the other 3 sections would not be a big deal for you.
More emphasis on style which necessitates specific usage
>imagine not being a native english speaker
HAHAHAHAHAHA
I don't think we even have English proficiency tests outside education.
I have on more than one occasion thought about how lucky I was to be born in an English-speaking country. Imagining all the films, music, and other media I would be missing out on otherwise is a really depressing thought. It's not just native English content that you miss out on by not speaking English, but all the non-English content translated into English as well.
Canadians are either Quebecois or Chinese
Do you have Finnish proficiency tests?
How the fuck is the answer to this engaged?
I'm a native speaker btw
>I'm a native speaker btw
I don't believe you.
Business English, I guess?
No, it's standard English. It's not even an obscure expression or anything.
shut up Nigel
I live in South, we usually say "line is busy" in that scenario. But "busy" wasn't an answer so I thought it'd have been either occupied or taken.
Do they say "engaged" in UK or some shit?
I've quite literally never heard anyone say engaged within a sentence, aside from a situation such as "We just got engaged." or "I was engaged in doing something."
if you can read tuchman you should be able to breeze any meme english exam
I doubt it's just a British expression. Can any other burgers chime in on whether or not they've heard it before?
It's okay, Ibooks supports Korean-English dictionary so I can read through it while I don't understand like 10~12 words per each page
100? That’s easy shit. I had to het a score of 120 to study in the UK
I have never heard this used either.
I would have picked "occupied" in that situation.
TOEFL sounds like a German word, I imagine some kind of food with bread and meat.
It's an acronym you Italian cunt
I think these tests are ment for Oxford English learners. No country in Europe learns American English. Some teachers can even give you a worse mark for using American English in a vocabulary test. But in other cases they just correct you.
bump
Personally, I would rather take IELTS. Anyway, TOEFL is funny: if you're capable of writing here it won't be a bother to you - good luck m8!
what level is 100 ?
Ielts 6.0~7.0?
