Because the West is a loose expression that can mean a lot depending of the person. Is Poland part of the West? What about Hungary? What about the Czech Republic? If Greece is not Western because it is Orthodox (considering the division of the Great Schism), why is Sweden even though they are "Protestant"? And if "West" is simply "first world," why the Czech Republic is not part of it?.

To be fair, we do. We are Catholics, have Roman Lex Civilis, Western style of music, classic archtecture is western, hell, we used to be part of Western countries.
Our continent is shitty, but our culture is probably 90% Western with some elements of other cultures, like indigenous and black.

What I'm trying to say is that the Western culture is much more prevalent than the indigenous or black. And no, I'm not saying we are Western, I don't have an opinion about it to be fair.
