But surely your shithole must have some regional transportation hub of some sort? E.g. bus stop, ferry terminal, train station, regional airport, etc. It might be a little pricy, but if you can save a few hundred dollars you can make it to Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa or even Montreal depending on where you are exactly in Northern Ontario.

join some facebook groups for the city you live in. For example I live in La and they have an LA room finder thing and some are just students who are pretty chill and just need a roomate. Can you not work some shitty job for awhile and save money to move? honestly theres always jobs in big cities as long as you're ok working at factories and what not.

Could you enlist in the military for a few years to save up money or maybe go to college?

I tried joining some for a place I'd like to go but they didn't let me in because you have to live there, I can try other cities though.
