Denmark
Yes the population has increased by 1500% the past 20 years alone.

the fuck is that
The fuck is that. If there's one good thing about Canada's weather, it's that it keeps most of the shitty insects away.
No. We're not monkeys, or something like that.
Also I know that's an arachnid but who gives le fuck.
No, I don't live in a shithole
everyone's favorite insect
dios mio...
It's a tick. A devilish little bug that will leech on your blood and give you a high fever and in some cases even kill you. It will also give you lyme disease.
There are many here but we should be fine if you stay away from tall grass.
I literally contracted meningitis from one of these as a teen, but I shrugged it off after two weeks. I was so so lucky.
what are they exactly?
no i use flamethrower on them
Acari maybe?
My dogs always get a couple of them every time they're out running in the forest
tick
In rural areas only, of course.
Yes. After burning “kulu” became forbidden because of fire hazard the population exploded.
I have a dog that sometimes has one of these because I live on a farm, but it's not that common
They made a vaccine for it, but it was pulled off the market in the USA because of (((lawyers)))
garrapatas
I had one of these on my ballsack when i was a boy scout. The scout leader had to remove it for me.
One type of tick that is relatively new here can carry a disease with a chance to kill dogs and other pets. Make sure to comb them when you get home to avoid risks.
I had to do it for another boy in the army. Does that make me gay?
It did feel gay at the moment.
>Yes the population has increased by 1500% the past 20 years alone.
Our Muslim population increased by the same in the last 30 years alone.
I'm sure that's what he told you
Scary. Do you know what is causing the increase?
Is it normal for ticks to be able to cause paralysis?
Boooooh
1. France
2. Subhumans
Only in australia.
Most blame it on mild winters and lots of rainfall, but I suspect other causes as well. The population just keeps increasing and these days they can be found as early as January. They also thrive in artificial forests with low biodiversity.
I deal with chiggers
A family friend dies a while ago from one of these, apparently they release a toxin in you.
Georgia?
Not toxin, they are just carriers of diseases and bacteria. They throw up into your bloodstream some hours after latching on, which is how the diseases are transmitted.
Only if they drank from another animal first. The thing they do is that they drink until they die, when they die they vomit in you. They also vomit in you if you fail to drag them out in one piece.
My grandma got a desiese from one of them years ago and it was really bad.
i imagine this is the number one cause of death in bulgaria
this, it's the same thing as with Mosquitos
But it's much much rarer to die from tick bites.
cdc.gov
I cant stop looking at these garrapatas pics for some reason.
I forgot to mention as well that deers are the number one carriers of ticks. Deer population is hard to control since they don't have any natural threats left in most of Europe, leaving their population to explode which in turns leads to explosion in tick population as well. Couple that with loss of habitat and extinction of birds that feed on ticks and you have a recipe for disaster.
Unaware grandma almost let the doggo die with a serious plague of those fuckers. I fucking hate carrapatos.
Its the fucking sami people hoarting deers. Truly the Jew of the north.
I remember having one and pulling it out then squishing it into mush. So satisfying.
>demons aren't rea-
wtf is up with ticks in your cunts
we have a lot here in Santiago (we have a gorillion stray dogs), especially in summer, but i've never heard of someone getting bit by one, they only get dogs and as long as you remove them and burn them it's no big deal
t. i've had dogs ever since i was 8 years old
it is pretty bad here, in Denmark we have 400,000+ deer population, a 5x increase over just 30 years
>carrapatos
These are carraças. Carrapatos are the plant spiky wheel things, no?
Is this a regional thing?
My dog had some once so I apply this to him monthly.
doesn't your government cull them?
same shit, I'm from the south and I equally hear both names to describe these little demons
That's carrapitos. The spiky plant.
Yes. It has become a major public health problem.
No one knows why their population has skyrocketed with certainty..
I live in the countryside and I've been bitten a hundred times in the last 10 years, while the phenomenon was unknown when I was a kid.
Literally my main paranoia.
Show cute dogiie!
In Coimbra I only ever hear Carraças, never Carrapatos, but Google agrees with you.
That Adiafa song makes more sense, now.
Ireland
The Irish
How do you have so many fucking raindeers?
we don't have enough hunters here to control the population, even though they kill a bunch of them every year.
to be frank our only hope is wolves, they recently came back to denmark but people are so (irrationally) afraid of them that they want them gone already.
sometimes I hate this idiot country.
ESTRA-

BOMBA QUE O FOGUETE VAI NO ARI
soviets used ticks as a bio weapon to kill out the partisans from the forests
it's such an innocuous thing too, just mail a box of tick eggs and planet them in various forests, wouldn't put it past to r*ssians doing it now
This is like a 15 year throwback or something
He's talking about these, not reindeers
we don't have reindeer, only roe deer for the most part.
oh, and red deer like posted. And fallow deer.
It still doesn’t add up for me.
I don't think we have 400k. This was the only I could find
jaegerforbundet.dk
Danish nature is just fields separated by patches of trees, it's perfect environment for deers since they like gathering and search for food in open areas, and then hide in forests.
It's impossible to have exact numbers, 400,000 is just an estimate, there could be less or there could be more. The problem is that the population is increasing for sure, and hunters can't keep up.
Maybe it's a european variation? I never had any problems with the dogs either, you pull them off and burn them, no biggie
sometimes my schnauzer have those fuckers but I take her to the vet and the guy gives a treatment that dry that fucker to death and she gets more happy, you can actually know if your dog has ticks if is shut down or sad
is snek ok?
it survived I think
This is why you should pick them off and dont ever light a flame on them or anything like that because they will puke. Same goes with leeches.
