The consensual number has always been 10k.

2,000,000 after taxes is enough to “make it” in the states. 3.5% yearly returns are guaranteed if you let a decent financial advisor manage your portfolio. That means 70k yearly, more than any NEET should need.

So it’s not about the number of LINK really, because no one knows the future price. I think $100 is realistic by EOY 2020 and maybe even conservative, so for me “making it” means about 26k.

19 year old NEETS with their entire lives ahead, 5k-10k could even be enough. We will go higher than $100/LINK it will just take a few years. Some are in a better position to wait.

All these factors, and some others should be considered when asking that question OP, and there’s no real right answer that fits everyone.

It definitely depends how long you want to hold. I have 10k but I can afford to not sell them ever. I can confidently keep buying small amounts and hold for 5-10 years if needed. But I think it will be at least 2020-2022 before they are worth in the 6-7 figures.
