Well considering you'll be working under the table for cheap, you'll be living in socal. Most likely in Central LA (look up South gate and Watts). You'll need a car to get around because public transport will not cut it here. My best advice: get a friend in the area that will let you room with them while you get yourself on track. Pay your share of the rent and apply for citizenship if you want.
