>tfw fell for the trade meme

tfw fell for the trade meme and don't make anywhere near as much money as trade shills seem to shill

any computer science anons in canada, is it worth it going to university for it (my highschool grades are good enough to get into most programs bar waterloo)

I am 23 years old and would be 27 by the time I finish.

Just do what feels right.

>be me
>be /Indian/
>be Electrical Engineering
>be in library, preparing for my electronics midterm
>bunch of womyn near me start going on about how they are stressed out by uni, how they couldnt get enough sleep on the weekend
>mfw they both do philosophy and political science double majors

If you are not in an engineering or medicine field you are human garbage. You are literally nigger tier trash because any other subjucts in college are not real subjects

Not comp sci but if you go into it just for the money you'll hate yourself. If you don't have a real interest in it then you'll just be a bored code monkey for the rest of your life

Just get into stock market or something. If you really want to code don't go for the degree. Make a GitHub and upload random projects there. And take part in all those hackathons on hacker rank etc.
Employers need your skills not a certificate saying you wasted your time and money for 4 years

yeah except you are a random pajeet electrician pleb earning 2000euro a month meanwile those women can suck dick so they will end up hr director or assistant manager or some bullshit fake job like that and get 3500/m doing absolutely nothing lmao

It's never to late for education. You have to work 35+ years anyway. If you want to make money, there are easier ways. You should really enroll into a program you really are interested in. CS f.e. in Germany is extremely math-heavy so you should have fun in math. solving.
But maybe the focus in Canada is different.

In the end you don't need a fortune to survive. Everyone has their own number in the head one would like to earn. If you think University pays off in your personal view for yourself in both interest and inner feeling, go fo it. If not plenty other options out there.

I like it from the videos I have seen on youtube.

Just wondering how much code monkeying can make me and whether or not it would be worth it.

degrees are needed here for most companies m8, a computer science graduate or software engineer will always be more respected and will get the foot in the door

another what

electrician =/= electrical engineer man, electrician is a trade, electrical engineering is engineering, like dealing with hardware and stuff

What's wrong with people studying stuff that they're interested in? Why do you waste so much energy getting angry over the lives of people that don't effect you?

If you're really interested in it then go for it for sure, good luck with your future endeavors

I can't take people who study non-STEM subjects seriously, usually their IQs are too low to even communicate with me.

People around the world always need a way to look down on others to feel superior and better about themselves. So they can atleast rationalize their own misery to themselves. This pseudo-elitism is around all the time even here.

oh ok i thought you were the guy checking on electrical counters all day, engineer is a good job

>philosophy and political science
>not real subjects
here if you do it in a prestigious university you get some actually great jobs in the bureaucracy
only top tier students though

I just feel I wasted my potential, my average in highschool was 93% which would have gotten me 3-5000 dollars in scholarship every year, when tuition in uni is 7000 only.

and what did I do with that? became an hvac technician... when I could have went to some of the best universities in the world to any program

>another what

DAY

what about the history/poli sci people who go on to law school

Dropping comp sci here, and I gotta say it feels good.

>and what did I do with that? became an hvac technician... when I could have went to some of the best universities in the world to any program
>I just feel I wasted my potential

Always something there to complete if you feel the need. Might be not as easy as it would have been if you would have done it from the start but plenty of options. There are worse fates

Sure but it feels like wasted time. During the past 5 years I've done nothing but work, go home, nothing to advance my social life... nothing. It just hurts me emotionally knowing what potential and opportunities I had, and that I threw them all away, for so long.

Most people have a lot of potential that they will never get close to achieving. That's how life is unfortunately.

There's a reason why you didn't start something else 5 yrs ago. You could live today or just dwell in the past and feel sorry for yourself. Either way the last won't change something and the past 5 years will go to past 10 years, 20 years, 40 years.

Plenty of motivation shit out there but you could have planted a tree 100 years or you just could put down the seed into the earth today.
Life will pass too soon anyway, make the best of it fella.

alright we'll see what happens, ty for your words

>an Indian saying someone is human garbage

I have some news for you: you are one more irrelevant shitskin in the market. But you should know it, since there are other milions of Indians like you.

Indians are known for shitty education and work ethic here. Nobody like to work with indians here. Not because you are bad people, but because you're known for your degree mills and bad reputation. Kinda sad for thefew of you which are actually somewhat skilled.

This
Law School is CHAD mode
Engineering is virgin mode

>tfw fell for the study what you are interested in meme and am almost done with a poli sci degree and getting turned down for internships

Attached: 1447301922465.jpg (601x601, 75K)

In canuckworld CS doesn't make nearly as much as America. If I lived in canuckland I would have become a teacher instead of being programmer here.

>teacher
enjoy unemployment if you're in ontario

Actually programs like philosophy get you high paying spots in chad government jobs, while engineering and comp sci is monkey work, which is why it's mostly done by pajeets. Also, Law and philosophy are shown by studies to require the highest IQ to complete. Checkmate, peasant.

I fell for the trade meme too and now I have constant back pain and my arms ache if I lift anything heavy

*tips fedora*

join the army

I don't want to die for israel

it's all about the fun
join JTF2

>>be /Indian/
>>be Electrical Engineering
Im going to tell you right now that the people you probably think are lazy idiot wh*Toids are going to get a job easier than you because they speak English and know how to make small talk.
Not everything is about how bright you are

WASTED

>PEOPLE ARE STILL FALLING FOR THE TRADE MEME
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH enjoy fixing my toilet plebs

Computer science is oversaturated, do you really want to fall for a meme twice? There's nothing you can do that some desperate Indian or Ukrainian can't do just as well for a quarter of the pay. If you're smart but uncharismatic, go into medicine or engineering (anything "science" related is worthless slave labor for grants). If you're smart and charismatic, law. If you're both stupid and uncharismatic however, just join the military. You might get killed for Israel but at least you'll die with something resembling a purpose.

>Computer science is oversaturated, do you really want to fall for a meme twice?
It's really not, even garbage companies are thinking twice before hiring pajeets now.

t.software engineer working at ibm

also I want to add, it's saturated with graduates who can barely code and fail hard at interviews/whiteboarding

seriously there were people at my coop interviews that couldn't fuckin fizzbuzz or talk about some simple data structures
