Normies' decisions were heavily influenced by trends, once this trend become stale, they'll go back to FB anyway.
I was talking to a bunch of teenage girls the other day (don't ask why), and I mentioned facebook for some reason. They ALL collectively rolled their eyes and called me grandpa.
It was actually a very big revelation for me. FB's days are numbered.
Once they have proper jobs and families they will go back to it. Then they can try to prove to the world they still have an exciting life by posting every little outing they have

I wanted to promote my products(design assets: fonts, photoshop actions, icons, photos etc) via facebook ads.
But now i am a little afraid because of what's happening. Especially because my main customers are hipsters designers and that kind of shit.
Is it safe to give ZUCK money, or i better have to find another way of promoting?

I really dislike social media, but I don't let my personal feelings into my business making decisions. Facebook owns Instagram and WhatsApp. Boomers use FB to see their grandkids, thots use Insta for attention and guys use Insta to drool over thots. Whatsapp has over a billion users. There isn't really any competition and even if something came along to challenge them then Facebook would probably just buy it since they're so cash flush. I already bought the dip when the scandal broke and I'm excited to buy some more tomorrow at very low prices. They may get slapped with a fine down the road, but it won't be a huge deal in the big picture. Facebook won't last forever, but it's a good investment in the medium term. You should be able to get it at $150 or lower this week and it'll hit $200 within a year.
Data selling and total lack of privacy has been well documented for almost a decade. This much recent talk in the media is because Facebook is dying. I see no other reason why it would be in the news cycle for this long.

Even if you stop using Facebook but you have their app installed, you are still fucked because they're still tracking you.
But Facebook is not the only tech company that sells your privacy. There are more than 100 companies that are into "surveillance capitalism".
Here are a few list: Google (and YouTube), Twitter, LinkedIn, Paypal, Visa & MasterCard, Uber, Discord, Microsoft, Apple, Netflix, Skype, Spotify, Evernote and Intel.

They will probably survive and prosper. Most mega corporations have hiccups.
If I was Facebook, I would leave burgerland and set up my HQ and activities in a European country which would welcomed me with open hands.

Kek twitter is more fucked than FB. Only people actively trying to 'engage' with politics or business or whatever use twitter. Literally have yet to meet a single person in my life who uses twitter, yet everyone I know is one Facebook. (I'm 22).
