>oh no we got no water OMG WHY IS THIS HAPPENING

ameritards

Plant palm trees in the sand and make a river

With napalm

pic related, some Britbong's suggestion

Attached: britbong suggestion.png (911x1271, 1.75M)

Looks comfy what's wrong with it?

>place three small parks/playing grounds
>an elementary school on the side
>grocery store
>small commercial district

Attached: sc_adv_utilities.png (77x76, 9K)

Where's the schoo- oh.

You can't, it's perfect, only normies care about having exciting cities.

where is this?

>no town center, a church, a market place, a university, smelter, wood lumber camp at the center

Attached: rise-of-nations-screenshot.jpg (638x399, 88K)

probably Nevada or New Mexico

Attached: 1508513492159.jpg (2550x1722, 965K)

are there shops or something on the other side of that?

no, the way it works is that a bunch of these suburbs all funnel into one mega-mart shopping center, which everyone drives their cars to. It's probably a couple miles up the road from this suburb

A single trip to the shopping center will last you a week or so

Attached: Mega Wallmart.jpg (728x486, 125K)

Imagine acually buying a house in a desert.

I like this, also across the road should be mixed use buildings with shops like you see in downtown areas build before the 1950's
The problem is that every place that actually makes developments like that is ungodly expensive, all those houses end upwards $500k

they are bigger than European houses

Attached: suburb2.jpg (1152x768, 276K)

I'd honestly prefer to be surrounded by a little nature in close vicinity to a town.

Attached: 909055393.jpg (980x550, 114K)

and imagine doing that but on national scale r-right

fug
I mean it is kinda similar here, but there are smaller shops scattered in between so that you don't have to go to the massive one
I happen to live within walking distance of a huge one near me, but yeah it's still very car oriented. We do have a train station next to it though, and a few buses that go there so there are other options

Encircle it with whorehouses and casinos

I've listened to E. Michael Jones talk about how the suburbs were deliberately designed to wipe away any type of ethnic community. Everyone is consumed with trimming their lawn, watching movies inside, or maintaining their garden, instead of networking and forming a real rooted ethnic neighborhood. Also, people are moving in and out all the time, so you never really know your neighbors

Attached: 1499974371039.jpg (960x640, 305K)

>ethnic
One of the main boosters of suburbs was to get away from ‘ethnics’ like blacks and Puerto Ricans.
If anything they shaped the white American identity

Police station
Gas station
Cafe
Kindergarden next to police station
Cultural center for the elder, mandatory partecipation for 2h month for neets

all sorts of people live in the suburbs here, so if we were going for that too it didn't work

I'd nuke it

how come t bong didn't suggest a mosque?

Attached: Pepe_Corbyn.jpg (600x572, 53K)

This is how a typical suburb looks on the east coast, I think it's a lot better, though still not ideal.

Rate

Attached: east coast suburb-2.png (1113x738, 1.77M)

>Rate

It's shallow and pedantic, and it insists upon itself.

What a fucking moron. When he says ethnic he means Irish, Italian, German those kinds of ethnicities.
>If anything they shaped the white American identity
So yes, you'r right about this, it created "white" identity in by eliminating ethnic identity.

Also dishonest

>A single trip to the shopping center will last you a week or so
Isn't that normal?

Depends how many people you have to feed and how much they eat. My gf's son eats a lot, I usually go to the supermarket twice a week, sometimes 3 when he has an important basketball match and trains a lot.

What game is that from? Sim City?

Looks like colony on Mars

I would build 3-4 haussmann inspired buildings around a small park to create a liveable density and raze the cardboard

By unleashing protoss purifiers on it.

Attached: IR8HGLsmKLxt.jpg (923x731, 840K)

I managed to salvage your shitty muttblocks

Attached: 1523967829739.jpg (923x731, 624K)

>my gfs son
>basketball

>europoors prefer living in tiny apartment buildings than in big private houses

Attached: smug.jpg (600x765, 114K)

Bring down the houses and build schools, shops, metro stations and peoples blocks on their ruins

Attached: 10228613.jpg (2048x1536, 1015K)

I-I live in the desert but by myself. There's nothing wrong with living here! You can turn off the lights and see all the stars. And neighbors? Who needs them!

Attached: 1523730587145.jpg (500x364, 26K)

Moat around it and gun towers in each corner also a draw bridge in the entrance

my version has a smaller environmental impact, and houses more families. also, the community centre includes a kindergarten and an elementary school.

a bomb or two

This.
>yw no longer have German farming villages, Irish ghettos and Italian city streets
Germans and swedes only kept their retarded accents and Irish and Italians mixed together and created the heritage type of amerimutt

>smaller environmental impact
Implying that matters at all
>houses more families
Doesn't look like it since you razed all the houses and only left a few apartment buildings

M8 most American suburbs have that. Extreme desert surburbs aren't your avergae American suburb. Pic related my suburban area. It's green amd comfy and has everything

Attached: Screenshot_20180417-132307.png (1080x1920, 2.36M)

the flat towers are 8-12 floors tall, and house 40-80 families each. the smaller flat blocks are three floors tall, and house around 20 families each.

not as many houses are needed as before, and people now get the chance to walk around in nature instead of just getting funnelled into their own little shoebox.

So what mod of Cities: Skylines is this?

Attached: 1523905924954.jpg (741x568, 92K)

Do you think we don't have nature
m8 America is pretty big so we can still build suburbs and have nature surround us from all sides.

My old suburb was like this. There were two main roads, one led to an area with smaller shops and the other led to a big street where the bigger businesses were. There was a footpath and trees everywhere.
The kind euros like to shitpost about are just the McMansion kind that upper middle class people buy on the far outskirts of town

You can walk around in nature outside, it doesn't have to be at your doorstep

They think that we have to drive 10 miles to find anything meanwhile irl in my suburbs there is like 10 parks, 2 libraries, 4 schools and like 80 stores in a 5 mile range.

Elementary school was almost right in the middle of the neighborhood. There were local clinics once you left the suburb and drove past 2 or 3 stoplights. To get to the middle and high school you had to pull onto the main road and take one (1) left at an intersection, less than 5 minutes or a 15-25 minute walk depending on which school you went too.
The library was the farthest and that was just a short drive too

Looking at this school shootings start making a lot more sense. Estonians may be miserable autists but having public space at least creates some sense of community.

I wouldn't live in the desert first of all

neo-urbanism is sort of an interesting approach to the problem but the construction is horribly cheap and tasteless, we've endemic issues with public transportation, and you can't force a community to form

Add canals, trees and grass.

You know, turn it into the Netherlands.

it's in the desert

Nothing that can't be fixed. That's what irrigation is for.

You should stop believing in the suburbs are super disgusting isolated places meme from redditor americans.

neo-urbanism is a fucking meme
>hur dur let's build overcrowded dystopias because dude cyberpunk lmao
we need to go back to modernist city planning.

as a species, we are not adapted to life in overcrowded cities. we need open neighbourhoods, with close access to nature and parklands.

Attached: kommandobryggorna4.jpg (2517x1967, 789K)

You just described most American suburbs in the last paragraph

This

Attached: myllypuro_aprt_02.jpg (1728x949, 366K)

that's because your suburbs are built on modernist principles. however, it's a degenerated form of modernism, just like commieblocks. they don't take all human needs into account.

Attached: frölunda2-edit.jpg (1200x865, 657K)

I would love to live here

Attached: Squarenotcircle.jpg (923x731, 786K)

add like a park with an artificial lake next to it or something, imagine how hot it is wtf
maybe add a 7-11 somewhere

>All that wasted water
>You have to stay in-doors all the time because of heat
>You are surrounded by hostile wasteland
Bleh

>because of heat

Not all arid places are hot.

Who fucking cares
I enjoy walking to town and it helps that i only live 10 minutes away

That looks amazing.

Arent the houses like cheaply made?

But those in pics are.

The hell is a "community center?"

By reverse searching that picture, i manage to find the architect and the place where he build his suburbs.
Nevada - USA.

Not really the hellish place on earth, but they did got 50ºC 20 years ago in some death pit.

I like Jakriborg. It's a small little suburb in Norway I think. Cool design.

Attached: Jakriborg.jpg (1272x878, 267K)

rec center

So how so these work, someone or a corp buys land, makes a shit load of houses and just hopes people will buy/rent and settle there forever?

It's pretty smart by including a parking lot close by.

cant really say what my rec center was used for other than voting

why would he limit himself to the boundaries? thats part of whats wrong
brb

Why does your house matter so much? It's just a place for sleep. As long as it's quiet and not too small it doesn't matter.

Looks like fucking hell.
And I lived in a commieblock/apartment building most of my teenage life and all of my adult life.

No grocery store, no kindergarten, no school, not a single park.
Where the fuck do american suburbanites socialise? Especially the young ones? I somewhat cannot imagine a 13 year old getting a driver's license only to meet his friends.

Attached: ZeRP0Jl.gif (354x223, 1.66M)

You don't, you just wait for it to die from natural causes which it inevitably will one day because the life quality is garbage beyond comparatively cheap purchase prices.
