ledger is vulnerable as well, it was actually some 16yo pajeet who hacked it if you store your coins on a hw wallet it's hardly different from storing it on an exchange because you trust a company that their product is secure, and even if they are legit they could have a rogue employee, usb stick is safer than hw wallet
