Since my materials for learning BP lack audio I have to check the check the word’s pronunciation on Wiktionary and in some cases the website shows the pronuncation in South Brazilian dialect. My observation is that it is relatively more phonetic, for examples it doesn’t palatize “d” or “ in most words. Also “o” isn’t pronounced as “u” when it’s at the end of the word. I wonder if this has to do with influence from large population of German descendant. Just my theory tho.
