Latin America

I created this map dividing Latin America into different cultural spheres. What do you think? Is it accurate? Also, general Latin America thread.

It's more complex than that

Venezuela should be blue stripped as half-Caribbean and half-Andean

More accurate division

Attached: division.png (197x256, 5K)

Mexico should be its one sphere

does blue represent us as amerindian (BLACK) countries?

the fuck

How's this?

better quit while you still have your dignity

Chile is a weird place it doesn't have a lot in common with any of its neighbors

Chileans ARE both Argentinean (racially) and Peruvian (culturally)

Attached: ayydog.png (184x208, 47K)

not to mention there are several gradients to be applied
North Argentina and North Chile are Andean while Brazil isn't a single culture at all

what are you even talking about? THe venezuelan andes are not even 5% of their territory

>Chile is a weird place it doesn't have a lot in common with any of its neighbors.
>Cuyo is basically Chile with an argentinian accent

>ignoring central America
You guys have a similar culture whether you like it or not.

Dunno about North America though

Attached: 1524024686978.png (625x789, 48K)

That's about right. You could include the venezuelan and Colombian caribbean in the caribbean spheres as well

they were part of the Andean bloc until 2006 when based Chavez withdrew due to the FTA signed by both of our countries with the burgers thus they are still somewhat part of the sphere. If you have a better idea then I'm open to hearing it.

>Chile should be its own culture
>Paraguay should be a part of br culture
Tha'ts all

> Chile
> North andean
> Colombia and Venezuela
> South Andean
Geography is not your thing it seems

We are talking about culture, not trade blocs. Our culture is in no way similar to that of Peru or Chile

>of br culture
te voy a romper la jeta hijo de remil putas

La Rioja is actually Northwestern Argentina, they were included in Cuyo because Menem was retarded and wanted to be closer to Cuyo, but culturally they are more Northwestern than anything. In fact today they abandoned the Cuyo bloc and are part of NOA

Lol man Chile is its own thing. I did not realize that I painted it the same color as Colombia. Do not look at the shit that's written, I did not write it

They are still to choose a side
Good guys lead by us
Evil guys lead by Brazil

>dat Brazil
wtf thats racist
If we speak about culture then most of us are different except for maybe the pairs of Ecuador/Peru and Uruguay/Argentina

You are ours. Accept our friendship, brother.

> Ecuador/Peru

Ecuador is mestizo, Peru is amerindian. People in peru speak spanish, in Peru you have millions of people who don't speak the language. The only similar countries in this continent are as follows:
Argentina/Uruguay
Colombia Venezuela( Ecuador kinda but it still has a lot of differences with us)
Peru/Bolivia/(Probably Chile)
Paraguay has a lot of things in common with both Brazil and Argentina

North Andean is just the name I used, I don’t mean it as in its related to South Andean.

no
ps: MERCOSUR was a mistake

Attached: images.gif (500x375, 465K)

It was a mistake yes, but you are still ours. We love you. Don't reject our feelings for ya.

Still, you van't deny the cultural similarities between cuyo region and central chile, just like «patagones» from Chile & Argentina.

Example:
1) Chamame:youtube.com/watch?v=N8bz_j8e_cE
2) Cueca y gato (cuyo & Chile): youtube.com/watch?v=6EOCBKO6ir8
3) Jota from chile (just like cordoba): youtube.com/watch?v=PNB-xzkz6U4

>Paraguay has a lot of things in common with both Brazil and Argentina
THEIR BORDERS have a lot in common with us BECAUSE OF OBVIOUS REASONS

youtube.com/watch?v=VZJmgY1Nwow

Lol mate Ecuador has a lot in common with Perú, what are you talking about? Not the coast areas, but in the mountain regions.

Don't reject us. Come home Índio man. We will accept you with open arms.

Get out of Argentina, Paulista/Sulista

In my viw, North Chileans are the same peoples as Peruvians and Bolivians, Central chileans are mestizos/castizos and southern chileans are amerindian (mapuche) or castizo/white, somewhat similar similar to Argentina

Chamamé is from Northeastern Argentina, not the Patagonia

1 DE CADA 10 HOMBRES ARGENTINOS ES GAY

Explain «La tirana»

youtube.com/watch?v=ZX4SMwP4ARQ

Ecuador is a funny place, it is definitely a transition zone, but in general everyone in Ecuador speaks spanish and practice spanish culture. In Peru there aremillions of people who speak indigenous language. Not saying it is a bad thing, but it is an important distinction to make

Attached: images.jpg (750x600, 45K)

Lol Northeastern Argentina and Paraugay are almost indistinguishable

You belong to your fellow TVPI-GVRANI BVLLS. You shouldn't reject your brothers.

>Chamamé is from Northeastern Argentina, not the Patagonia

Chamame can be found in the chilean patagonia user, in fact their traditional dance is not
"cueca central", but chamame, "cueca Chilota", paso doble & polca

extra info: they play Truco as well.

But that must have been brought by immigrants. It's not something autochtonous

We play Truco too. Are we honorary patagonians then? I want a patagonia gf now.

LOS ARGENTINOS SON GEYS

desearia que el sur de chile fuera argentino...

Este hilo

gee i wonder why....

learn how to write avakachî properly and we talk after that

I can only speak for my country and its sphere of influence. I don't know the program you are using to make such neat stripes, so feel free to improve my pic

Attached: cultural spheres of america.png (625x789, 36K)

I'm not saying "chamame" is AUTOCHTHONOUS but TRADITIONAL, just like Cueca (based on sama cueca), Jota Chilena (based on «Jota aragonesa») etc, etc, etc.

Well, at this time, half of south america can be honorary chilean, so why not? Just don't put sugar on my mate and we can be friends.

>The Caribbean stripe in Southern Venezuela
Why?

I messed up, should of been green

they have been an integral part of Peru since remote times. The indigenous culture is still shared and even the language (Kichwa) is spoken in Ecuador.
>spanish culture
so you wouuld say Ecuador is European now as opposed to being similar to their neighbouring countries?

Attached: peruland.jpg (240x240, 20K)

There are people who unironically puts sugar on mate tho?

>the northeast region of Brazil has another culture because it is underdeveloped
t. brainlet who doesn't know a corner of Brazil

Well, I present you some of the greteast figures in our history. All nordestinos:

-Guimarães Rosa

I-I will brother!

>since remote times
Peru as we define it today didn't exist in ancient times. If you are talking about the incan empire, and following your logic, you could as well include northern Chile, Bolivia and Northern Argentina in your assumption about Peru = Ecuador

t. brown north eastern monkey

So what? Northwestern Argentina was the place of birth of many of the most important and influential Argentines, and our independence was signed there, but it's still quite different from Buenos Aires.

I can sense that Northeast Brazil has a bigger Black population and also it's the most 'traditional' area of Brazil, where Portuguese colonization started, and it received less immigrants than the South and Southeast, so it must have a very different culture.

At least that is the case in Argentina. The areas that received less immigration are different. Btw I only visited South Brazil

f you are talking about the incan empire, and following your logic, you could as well include northern Chile, Bolivia and Northern Argentina in your assumption about Peru = Ecuador

Yes, grandmas, people who can't pass bitter flavours and "when you want to express your affection to other people".

Yeah, thanks for confirming my thesis. They're all transition zones just like you marked them on your map

the Caribbean coasts of Nicaragua and Honduras are Caribian influenced as well.
While most Panamanians are of Caribbean influence (The Interoceanic region between Panama and Colon) the rest of the Pacify has little to do with Caribbean culture.

Attached: Santeños.jpg (960x640, 163K)

Well, that is certainly not a thing over here.

Gotcha. Good to learn something new. I really don't know much about anything north of Costa Rica

Im ok with this, as long as you understand that is like putting together germany and austria, canada and the usa, california, oregon and whashinton. China and mongolia, japan and korea. its the Region and the Culture similar but not the same

Following my logic:
Bolivian indigenous culture is Aymara.
Northern Chile is long lost territory priorly assimilated by the Criollos.
No clue about northern Argentina, Charcas maybe?
Following your logic, all former spanish territories are culturally homogeneous which is absurd.

Learn about "language of mate"

>southern chileans are amerindian (mapuche)
Only on Araucania, Los Rios and areas north of Pto. Montt in Los Lagos.

M8 I live in Northwestern Argentina, whic was mostly Diaguita. But the language spoken by Diaguitas, which was Cacán, is extinct and has been for many years. There is still some people who speak Quechuas and many places and even words we use come from Quechua. So yeah it's obviously Peruvian influence.

As Pombas
(Raimundo Correia)

Vai-se a primeira pomba despertada…
Vai-se outra mais… mais outra… enfim dezenas
De pombas vão-se dos pombais, apenas
Raia sanguínea e fresca a madrugada.

E à tarde, quando a rígida nortada
Sopra, aos pombais de novo elas, serenas,
Ruflando as asas, sacudindo as penas,
Voltam todas em bando e em revoada.

Também dos corações onde abotoam,
Os sonhos, um por um, céleres voam,
Como voam as pombas dos pombais;

No azul da adolescência as asas soltam,
Fogem… Mas aos pombais as pombas voltam,
E eles aos corações não voltam mais.
