Whatsapp is wonderful for phonecalls and text messages and group conversations. Though i gotta say i like snapchat more for messaging singular people because it's easier to use and u can include a picture very easily.

Not for like chatting like having an actual conversation, it's hard to explain, if i wanna say something to someone in a serious manner or very descriptive and precise manner i'll use whatsapp but if i wanna send my buddies just some dumb picture messages when out drinking for example i'll use snapchat, so i suppose snapchat is more for that mindless fun kinda social activity.
