Why?
I heard that after WW2, Austrians became to dislike being regarded as Germans

Funny, because Austrians were responsible for WW2

DDR was the best Germany.

Hitler is an Austrian

who, except for some mutt (M-MUH HERITAGE), would want to be considered german?

>hitler is austrian

i understand its some way as a non german to show "hehe Ill show you im not a sheep and know more than you"
but even germans believe this shit.
sorry to break it to you but no, hitler was german

I heard that before WW2, Austrian wanted to be Germans

Hitler was born in the Strönes in Austria and grew up in Bavaria
That is to say, Is Hitler a Bavarian?

not sure why it would be necessary to call him bavarian but my point is that since 1912 he was staying in germany living as a german, feeling german.

the first 23 years of his life were spent in austria but everything afterwards, every military success and every political office was for the germans and in 1925 he formally asked to get out of austrian citizenship.
he considered himself a german from the beginning of his career and was granted that status legally as well

calling him austrian just because he was born and raised there is objectively false.

I'm not familiar with ethnic groups and countries in Europe.
So I'm sorry if I said rude things.

For example, even if Germans live permanently in Japan, acquire Japanese nationality and live for Japan, he is considered a German for a lifetime
(Although someone might say that he became Japanese, because they sorry about him)
But, if his child is a mixed-blood with a Japanese, since the child includes Japanese blood, so the child is considered a Japanese

Will Austrian become a German if he acquire German nationality and live for Germany?
If Germans and Austrians have little difference except for name of the countries, Germans are the same as Austrians, so wasn't Hitler an Austrian correct?

Jesus Christ, just tell him austrians and bavarians are germans because it's truth.

Nah, it wasnt rude dont worry about it.

>For example, even if Germans live permanently in Japan, acquire Japanese nationality and live for Japan, he is considered a German for a lifetime
Id say this really doesnt apply in most parts of europe, considering Japan has an entirely different approach to a multi cultural society with a really strong isolation towards foreigners. That is somewhat unthinkable here.

Even if you are Japanese, Chinese or African (I mean some type of phenotypically different) it is entirely possible to become full German. While some people might ask sometimes where you are from, because you dont look German, they will accept you as a full German when you tell them that you have the citizenship/stayed here for a while/speak the language.

From a legal viewpoint you are full German as soon as you get the citizenship, and I think thats the case in all of Europe.

>Will Austrian become a German if he acquire German nationality and live for Germany?
Yes, and the transition is really easy because of similarities in culture/language/phenotype. Really only need the official documents in that case to change citizenship.

>Germans and Austrians have little difference except for name of the countries, Germans are the same as Austrians
No, we are not the same and there are differences both culturally, politically, territorial and even language wise.

You should really look up the German Confederation and check who was the leading country in that entity.
HINT: It's Austria.

The question of who was going to unite Germany, Austria or Prussia, was not settled until the Austro-Prussian war of 1866.

The notion of Austrian as a completely separate identity from German is really only about a century old, especially strong since WWII for obvious reasons.

>Even if you are Japanese, Chinese or African (I mean some type of phenotypically different) it is entirely possible to become full German.
>they will accept you as a full German when you tell them that you have the citizenship/stayed here for a while/speak the language.
But if so, what is Germans?
German nationality?
German Language?

>Yes, and the transition is really easy because of similarities in culture/language/phenotype.
>No, we are not the same and there are differences both culturally, politically, territorial and even language wise.
There is big differences between Japanese and Korean and Chinese(language).
So Japanese don't understand what Korean and Chinese are saying without learning Korean or Chinese.
Therefore East Asians have a clear consciousness that each country is different countries.
However, if there are only a few differences between languages of Austria and Germany (dialects), are there Austrians and Germans who think that Austria and Germany are the same country?

So, what does that change how its regulated today?
Are you calling Austria part of Germany?

When talking about Hitler it remains the fact that these were different countries, with different citizenships, different military and different political rule.
Out of which the latter two were the reasons why Hitler applied for abandoning his Austrian citizenship and wished to take on the German one.
Here is a part of Hitlers offical request:

"Ich bitte um meine Entlassung aus der österreichischen
Staatsbürgerschaft. Gründe:

Ich befinde mich seit dem Jahre 1912 in Deutschland, habe
nahezu 6 Jahre im deutschen Heere gedient, darunter 4 1/2
Jahre an der Front und beabsichtige nunmehr die deutsche
Staatsbürgerschaft zu erwerben."

>But if so, what is Germans?German nationality?German Language?

Citizenship makes you legally German in all of its aspects. Id assume getting the citizenship isnt easy without learning the language though.

>There is big differences between Japanese and Korean and Chinese(language).

However, if there are only a few differences between languages of Austria and Germany (dialects), are there Austrians and Germans who think that Austria and Germany are the same country?

I know that, a common language isnt what makes us the same country though. Just because we understand each other does in no way imply that we are the same.
Historically you might argue that Austria and Germany were once closer, but that has hardly any relevance today.
The Latin American countries, Belgium/French are different entities entirely too.

>are there Austrians and Germans who think that Austria and Germany are the same country?
Probably, but that has no relevance. There also Germans who refuse to acknowledge the BRD and insist on being members of the German Reich, which no longer exists.
