eh, its the star wars name that sells. a norwegian war movie similar to the one finland has was the most seen one here in 2016, same in 2008 and 2009

I know right? wtf

what year did that Fjord Tsunami Armageddon film come out? was it the highest grossing in that year? it was fairly decent

ye beauty and the beast is better

at least both films were made in the uk using superior british production crews, visual effect studios and costume designers.

homegrown soy

bolgen, or 'the wave', came out in 2015 and yes it was the highest grossing. i forgot all about it

Tuntematon sotilas

>Sony Pictures
I'm not even going to look at it and I already know it's trash

how is the continuation war seen versus the winter war?

A winter war movie? That's going on the watch list if I can find English subs

i guess winter war gets mentioned more, but that movie is about continuation war

yes, I could tell it was about it.

I mean what sort of light is it seen in versus the winter war. Is there any distinction? Are there any criticisms?

>Foreign movies are effectively banned there.
They are not. 11 out of 30 most watched movies are foreign.

Our box office has
1. Beauty and the Beast
2. Finding Dory
6. Moana
7. The Secret Life of Pets

I think continuation war is mostly considered justified here in Finland. We wanted to get back what rightfully belonged to us. We also knew that the soviets are eventually going to attack us again so we better take the fight further away from the Finnish heartlands. There was some controversy on how justifiable it was to cross the pre-winter war border and occupy soviet Karelia.

In 1944 we once again defended valiantly and stopped the soviet invasion. Stopping the massive soviet invasion in 1944 has same kind of thing going on like the winter war. Like how we managed to keep our independence.

Some edgy communists might consider the war as some kind of evil nazi action against the peace loving USSR.

The reality though is that getting a licence to show your film in Turkey is extremely difficult, and most movies don't get through.
That's why I said 'effectively banned', and not just 'banned'.

Looks like the most Balkan film ever

because they have a reverse midas touch, everything they come into contact with turns to shit.

Greeks have patrician taste desu

>vindieseltugal

>and not a single non-white actor in sight
wtf how can you still be this racist?

You need a licence to shoot a movie (if you are a foreigner). If you want to show your movie you make a deal with a distributor firm. No firm will buy a shit movie like The Promise. It won't make a profit.

Last Jedi was prequel tier garbage, luckily I didn't hype myself up and expected it to be average. I was still let down, but it was a softer landing

Prequels are alright, it's the OG trilogy that'd overrated through nostalgia googles.
The new trilogy is just shit and does not stand up to either.

But they're US movies.

Where are all the kinofilms we hear so much about?

Why are US so fat?

Recep İvedik is probably the closest to the Inbetweeners franchise in the UK, popular television show that gets peddled out for reliable box office money.

>murder on the orient express
good taste for a shithole country

why can't europe into movies

Star wars is fucking garbage. Normie romantic comedy in space.

>Some edgy communists might consider the war as some kind of evil nazi action against the peace loving USSR.
it literally is

>not a single non-white actor in sight

So you made a movie without any finns in it?

Based Turkey not falling for the holiwood Jews

Based UK, Italy and Spain.

I thought German were crazy about : New Kids Turbo?
