Unless you're trading extensively on coinbase then just don't report it. Then when you make it, hire some guy to do it all. You'll pay a late fee which is I think ~20% of what you already owe for that year.

Worst case, they'll give you an estimate of what you owe, you'll act innocent "I didn't know crypto was taxable"/"I thought you just pay when you cash out" and pay up.

You know the IRS is in a bad way when they come here for ideas on how to detect tax dodgers. On the off chance that faggot OP is sincerex though: death is a tax holiday. So cash out your mad gains, then kill yourself.

You're not gonna be able to cash out any large amount without triggering some kind of response. You could try selling it for cash in person.

Nice try HMRC

I don't think you'll be able to do this in 2018, and besides it was only on the anything over 10% of your AGI.

I actually know a legal way to do it in the uk.

Look into the seamans tax allowance. Basically if you spend over 180 days out with the uk and have the period bookended with a trip from a foreign port you can get all your tax back

I got 7 grand back a few years ago

That worked out really well for the author amiritegoys

True, but they had to make an example out of him.

You can't get taxed on income if you have no income. I recommend you squat in a forest and hunt pigeons and dig up roots and grubs. I'm pretty sure pigeon meat isn't taxed but you should check with a tax professional just to be safe.
