but why would anyone choose AMD trash over i7-8700k which is like 20$ more expensive and 1000000000 times better because it's fucking intel
or even i7-8700(no K) which is cheaper

The 8700k gets beat by the 2700X though but its okay since its like 6-cores on a rehashed Skylake architecture back from 3 years ago

Intel isn't proactive in kicking AMD like Nvidia, they got caught with their pants down with Ryzen and have rushed most of their stuff since

Now that 2700X will get destroyed by the incoming Z390 Coffee Lake+ chip and probably the reason why AMD hasn't released a 2800 version

maybe in things like video editing, where all the cores and threads can be used
in single core performance intel is still much better than AMD, and thus performs better in gaming, i just watched some benchmark added when they lifted the embargo 45 minutes ago, and i7-8700k outperforms ryzen 7 2700x as much as even 25 FPS in some games(still, both are waaay above 60fps)
