White bread used to be only for nobles while the plebs had to eat brown bread
>Soy
Americans have sandwiches for lunch at work made from white bread every day. Most men who aren't at least upper middle class think wheat, rye, sesame seed etc bread is "gross" or "gay".
In Spain you eat bread with every meal, not white bread though.
Reminder that this is who is calling people soyboy
I only eat the whitest bread
It literally has soy inside
Brown bread is shit.

is it true that american bread is sweet as fuck?
We don't have 1 type of bread. But yeah the generic cheap white bread is a bit sweet.
Standard white bread is. But there is such a huge variety it's really hard to say. Most grocery stories that sell standard white bread almost make their own which can be unsweetened.
If you went to some generic gas station looking for bread they might just have a few loaves of sweet bread.
The mas produced stuff is, but artisan breads have caught on and there is decent variety now
