Do you have a gun, Jow Forums? Why/why not?
I own guns because they're fun, and I can also protect my lolis if it ever comes down to it.

why are your scissors burned?
That's a good question, actually. I was bored and checked how flammable pistachio nuts were, and held the shell with the scissors. Turns out they burn pretty well.
Are you like 19-22 acting like a 13yr old jonni?
Sure hope you're not like 30 acting like this....
Boredom makes people do silly things sometimes.
>Do you have a gun, Jow Forums?
No
>Why/why not?
It is necessary to get a permission for possessing a gun
I don't need a gun.
Nekoanon?
Yes
Grandpa left it on his will to me when he died, I never touch it or even use it
more like you were doing hot knives
>Nekoanon?
H-hello
no.
I could but I'd need paperwork and I'm saving for a car right now
>No
That's awful, I'm so sorry.
>It is necessary to get a permission for possessing a gun
Yeah, the same travesty here. Feels like you have to ask big brother for permission to fart these days, but what can you do when all the rest of the people ware mindless sheep that want to outsource their basic functions to someone else.
>I don't need a gun.
They're still fun though, and besides, nobody needs a gun until they do. You might be currently in a good position since your big brother isn't so retarded that they'd import rabid mudslimes into the country, but you never know when the neighbouring koreans want your foreskin.
No but I would like to buy one one day. It's a hassle to get one.
I do, they are fun
I don't own a gun though my husband talks about getting one all the time.
He doesn't have one because the ones he wants are all expensive and he'd want an expensive locker for them too. But he looks a lot at pictures of guns and plays a lot of shooter games etc. And he bought his nephews a really realistic looking toy gun I'm scared they'll bring to school and get arrested for/shot.
I don't want one because I have severe anxiety that sometimes spikes up very high and I'm scared I'd kill myself. ALSO I seen too many internet videos where someone shoots a gun and it comes back to smack them in the face and I'm sure it'd happen to me.
Tbqh you don't really need it because Japs aren't prone to violent behavior and you have almost no minorities making the crime rates soar.
But it's still pretty fun.
>license is needed in Funland for a gun
I thought your guns laws weren't tight.
no
the only shooting range here is on top of a mountain, driving there is more dangerous than a gun
>I thought your guns laws weren't tight.
On Euro standards, they aren't. On clapistanian standards, they're draconian.
That's a really cute 1911 you have there. Kimber?
Also why's the safety on the right side, are you a southpaw?
Kimber Pro Raptor II
It just has a double-sided safety
If you're not sure you could handle a gun, get trained. A gun is the best tool anyone should use in case you're in danger. Considering you're (probably) a woman, a gun might be the only way for you to get out of a critical situation.
Check your state gun laws, and learn with your husband how to use a gun, and maybe sign up in a shooting range.
It's one of the hobbies that could save your life.
Also, seek medical help for your suicide urges.
Well that's a good news for you. Do you keep your rifle from your military service ?
get a rifle then. like a mosin-nagant or something, eastern Europe makes cheap ones now.
>kids can't really take it without you noticing nor hide it in his bag
>maintenance easy as fuck, take some parts out and store them elsewhere if you're afraid of shooting yourself
>recoil will just hurt your shoulders at worst.
>I seen too many internet videos where someone shoots a gun and it comes back to smack them in the face and I'm sure it'd happen to me.
Training issue. Even if you are a limp-wristed homofag, you can handle a firearm if you aren't a complete fucking tosser.
>kids can't really take it without you noticing nor hide it in his bag
>make obrez
>take it to school
>Well that's a good news for you. Do you keep your rifle from your military service ?
No, that's Switzerland. I do have a civvie version of my cunt's service rifle, but she unfortunately came without the funswitch, and I had to pay for her myself.
What do you do with that gun? (;・∀・)
I live in a safe neighborhood and I never go out by myself (at least not at night).
And idk, I can't imagine that a gun doesn't just escalate the situation. A guy pulls a gun on me, so I take out my massive rifle (see ) and then shoot him faster before he shoots me? The only time I see a gun being a help for safety is if in a mass shooter situation (rare) where he has multiple targets and is distracted or he is a knifer (normally seen only in UK). Maybe chase away a burglar I guess.
>muh dick
I do own pic related though, it's at my dad's place right now
Mostly LARP at home and make holes at paper.
>other kids make fun of you for bringing this shit
>can't hang out with the AR-15 crew
>now friends with the retards that bring desert eagles to school instead
>British exchange student with a butterknife thinks you're his best pal
These are currently my weapons
A Stg77 and a P80
I'm in the austrian army
Vinkkasin
if a guy pulled a gun on you you can't escalate any farther.
plus you're a woman, if you take out a handgun chances are the guy'll go for it anyway because he'll think "lol bitch won't do it".
at least rifles look scary enough to make the guy actually fuck off even if you're a midget.
I've shot an AUG. Fun raifu, but the sights suck. Also, the mag release is a bit unintuitive, I dislike the fact that you have to push up at the same time with your thumb as you pull down to get the mag out of the gun.
Don't your neighbors complain to you?
Why would they?
Noises and stray bullets ...
You're silly.
lol in far far future archaeologists will go to his house see all the bullets "hmmm looks like a big war was here".
uh?( ゚ェ゚ ;)
It's like fun desu
By the way, do you have a gun?
no see
>uh?( ゚ェ゚ ;)
Why do you think gun ranges are in the middle of the city? Silly.
Imagine what rural clapistania will look like to them.
I know Finland bans concealed carry and firearms licenses with the offical reason of self defense, but do a lot of people carry anyway or buy guns thinking theyll get to use them on humans?
Our gun laws are fucked REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FUCKING TWO HEADED FUCKS
Look like a bunch of nothing to be honest. They only shoot to hunt deers etc afaik. My cousin live in the country they don't even own a gun but they do own a hunting BOW.
I'm not OP but I'm pretty sure anyone who gets a gun gets it because they find shooting fun and interesting, not because they think they'll ever need them for self defense, at least not as the main reason
tl;dr i don't think anyone really thinks they get to use them on humans except if there's a war
I really wish America was safe and united enough that we could not worry about self defense and trust the government to responsibly regulate guns for sporting use but as it stands I feel like carrying a gun is a good idea.
>but do a lot of people carry anyway or buy guns thinking theyll get to use them on humans
Not really. Some people do carry, because they don't want to outsource the protection of their own life to any other entity, but it's not like they ever expect to have to use the gun.
South Finland (Estonia) actually has legal concealed carry, but for some reason it's such a taboo for us. Our politicians are spineless retards.
It's funny since NZ has decent gun laws and isn't any more unsafe than Auscuckistan.
>They only shoot to hunt deers etc afaik
Nope. AR-15 is the most popular rifle in clapistan.
Why would they carry if its illegal and they dont expect to use it?
I like American gun laws, and I'd like them here, but I don't think the gun laws here would work in America, since the criminals would get the guns anyway. So I guess I agree with you, if you mean that the gun problem in America is a societal problem, not a law problem.
Fun fact: many Russians don't know that they are allowed to buy shotgun.
Let me put it this way: guns are analoguous to fire extinguishers. You wouldn't throw away your fire extinguisher just because you know the fire department is only a phonecall away, because when seconds matter, the help is minutes away.
Now apply that to cops. They're not superhuman, they can't materialise to the scene to protect your life, and they don't even have a legal obligation to defend you. In the end, you can only rely on yourself.
Because in principle they feel like their own defense is their responsibility, and it's immoral and unjust for others to remove their right to defend themselves. Getting caught with the gun would most likely mean that you had to use the gun, in which case it's better to be judged by twelve than carried by six.
I agree with what you're saying, but I'd just want to point out that there isn't a gun problem in america. What it does have is a crime problem, which will not be alleviated by removing guns from the equation. And indeed, the places with the most guns per capita are often the safest in America.
Yes. Anyone who lives in the USA and doesn't own a gun is retarded, even if you're pro gun control you should own one if you think your own life has any value whatsoever.
I get the logic but I feel like thats a stupid value judgement. In america id be tempted to carry illegally (if it wasnt already legal lol) but finland is fairly safe and the risk of jail time is a bigger concern.
Well its sort of a chicken and egg thing, most areas with high crime subsequently restrict guns to alleviate it. Still, evidence suggests that legal concealed carry reduces crime. Florida legalized it during an alltime crime high and now we are relatively safe. Problem is a lot of floridians go insane from the hot and monotonous weather and get pissed off by shit like traffic disputes and they all are packing now.
I don't
I might be semi-ironically >tosmart, because I find nothing fun about it
Essentially. I dont feel like I really need one but apart from money and the general annoyance of dealing with whatever gun laws your state has theres no reason not to keep one around.
>but finland is fairly safe and the risk of jail time is a bigger concern.
Sure, but no place is absolutely safe. We have mudslimes that like to stab people in the street too, and the cops don't randomly search you in the street. You only get caught with it if you flash it in public like an idiot or have to use it.
It's mostly about principle, I'd say.
Shooting in a line when you have some power-drunk idiot shouting behind you is not at all what shooting is about.
This is why I think legalizing guns but not allowing people to carry them is retarded, especially in places like Finland where youve already verified that they are responsible enough to own a gun and they'll probably carry it anyway. There was once a time in America where you could legally buy an unregistered machine gun with no background check but carrying a revolver in your coat pocket was a felony (in most states).
Why are Finns and Ukrainians seemingly the only people on this board aside from Americans with Jow Forums interest? I would have though there would be more, given that arguing about different international gun manufacturers is a common pastime.
Because they both border Russia and are historically redpilled on the notion that you can be free without weapons
There are others, but they're fucked by their governments, so they can't really participate. Like that one aussie in this thread.
I inherited this Snider-Enfield. Not sure it counts though because I have no ammunition for it and I don't know if it's even safe to fire.
Of course it counts. What a nice old lady she is.
Is it like a family heirloom?
Yeah. It belonged to an ancestor of mine on my father's side.
Did the ancestor stab clapistanians with it in 1812?
As far as I can tell the bayonet goes with the rifle and the rifle's stamped 1867.
Nice. I don't think anyone in my family owns anything that is as old as that.
You should give her a clean though, there's a lot of lint on her.
Yeah it's pretty bad. When it was first given to me I had removed all the dead spiders and stuff from the barrel but since then it's just sat in my room. How do you recommend I clean it?
Just canned air, brush and a touch of oil on the metal parts to prevent oxidation. You can also buy a silicone gun sock for her, to help keep dust off of her. Shouldn't cost you more than 20 moosebucks or something.
You might want to check around some collectors' forums on how to store guns for a longer period of time, as I don't really have experience with older firearms.
I appreciate your advice regardless, man. Does the kind of oil matter?
What it is about?
Any gun oil should suffice. It should clearly tell you what it's for on the can, picture related, a basic multipurpose gun oil. Talk to the cashier at your LGS if you're unsure.
Challenging yourself. It teaches a lot of patience, since you're trying to be as consistent as possible.
You can also get into the more high-paced sports such as IPCS if you want to add mobility, obstacles and time constraints to your performance.
Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
Don't mention it. Keep the old girl safe, she deserves it.
>Do you have a gun, Jow Forums?
Several.
>Why/why not?
It gives me greater (theoretical) potential to be a more dangerous human being, providing of course that I practice using it. I don't believe it's a magical talisman or anything, but it's better than my bare hands or a sharp stick.
nope I don't
I trust myself enough to own one because I understand how lethal a weapon it is. I think a lot of people really don't respect them. I am not morally against owning a firearm, but I think the general populace is so stupid they should not own one.
I'd love to own a lee enfield if they weren't ludicrously expensive to own/shoot here
The general public is smarter with firearms than you think. Consider how many guns there are in clapistan and how relatively rare any issues are.
Man, A1/A2 furniture looks pretty damn nice. My AR is a bit more of the 'tactical' flavour.
No.
Poorfag. It's reasonably easy to get guns here, you just need to pay out the nose for the various licenses and safety shit. Would love to get a handgun for target practice. Grew up next to a gun range and it always looked like such fun.
I remember we used to collect a bunch of the old bullet casings and try to make "bullet bombs" out of them with black powder. Good times.
this, you can't own a gun here
A1 furniture is super comfy for me. My other AR is a bit more modern.
I'm so sorry for you.
>Would love to get a handgun for target practice. Grew up next to a gun range and it always looked like such fun.
It is. Loads of fun, especially in good company.
that's an amazing looking range
My mom wanted me to take her out so while I did that I got oil and a sock. I look forward to cleaning. Do you recommend anything for the stock?
It is. Shame some of the ROs are uptight assholes.
>Do you recommend anything for the stock?
No, sorry. You're probably better off googling an answer than asking me, since I don't own any firearms with wood parts. Did the LGS staff give you any pointers?
I'm going to bump this thread because I'm an attention whore like that.
