I'm not sure, maybe it has something to do with the fact they didn't surrender despite overwhelming odds?
Losing battles are nice, sometimes.
Dying gloriously > winning > dying ingloriously > surrendering
Horribly outnumbered and besieged held out for a while but ultimately were killed. Santa Anna's cruelty (killing everyone) inspired a lot of people to join the revolution's Texian army and seek vengence on him.
how?
n-nanni!?!?
Italians are weak. There's no better word to describe it.
Why does the South care so much about a war they lost?
Provides incentive to win the next ome
>Weren't even killed, were taken as prisoners
Honestly the best part.
>Provides incentive to win the next ome
Exactly
>The Mexican army was taken by surprise, and the Battle of San Jacinto was essentially over after 18 minutes. During the fighting, many of the Texian soldiers repeatedly cried "Remember the Alamo!" as they slaughtered fleeing Mexican troops.[153] Santa Anna was captured the following day, and reportedly told Houston: "That man may consider himself born to no common destiny who has conquered the Napoleon of the West. And now it remains for him to be generous to the vanquished." Houston replied, "You should have remembered that at the Alamo"
>Italy was the only European country to be defeated by an African army during the land grab in Africa
They lost to Albania too like 5 years after Albania became independent
Because it was about enslaving blacks.
Italians love An*me
Why do people like the mock the French for surrendering in WW2 when Italians are much more pathetic?
shut up leaf
...
Italy. That's how. They're most hilariously inept military in human history. Unification was a mistake.
because italians arnt pompous pricks
because they act like they won when they were one of the first losers of the war
Ell. Oh. Ell. You've clearly never been to Italy, or met an Italian person in your entire life. (No, LARPing mutts from Noo Joizey don't count).
because it was the event that convinced congress to admit texas into the united states of america
they wanted to be american as soon as mexico lost them, but we didnt want another (slave) state to join the union
Italians are dicks as well.
