Submarines and missiles exist, friend.

Also don't they use that just for training?

Nice floating tin can. Would be a shame if someone sank it...

Probably some rusting shit Russia sold to Beijing in the 90s when they were desperate for money. Either that or it's a Chinese knockoff of a 1970s Soviet ship design.

It was a Kuz-class ship that didn't finish construction due to the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Russians sold it to China since they didn't have the money to finish it.

>ladyboy bows down to chinese masters
>probably chinese anyways

why do this? pick up whatever pride you have left or go back to china.

That's a lovely ramp and all but why only one tower? Everyone knows twin islands are the future.

CHINA PLEASE ANNEX US

It's a white sexpat in Thailand. He's a notorious spammer here.

>ramp

>Also don't they use that just for training?
If the western states didn't go around bombing tiny unstable countries, that's all they'd use them for too.

Sorry only countries whose carriers have a displacement of over 50,000t can post in here.

only careers with ramps are mockable tho

I don't think US and friends will go bombing unstable cunts in SEA so soon. I mean China just created a "Petroyuan" to compete witht he Petrodolar and so far we heard no action from US side. When Libya and Iraq tried they were bombed and has their govt toppled within a week.

The same way our carriers are used for training during peace time

Ramps are the future.

Well unlike Russia’s rusting sandbucket, China’s carrier actually has been sailing all over Asia and not breaking down.

Remember that crazy smoke cloud you could see from space? China uses a normal diesel engine instead.

They also haven’t lost a dozen planes and are not half-reliant on a tug boat.

Charles de Gaulle is TINY, and it's in dry dock for over a year servicing its reactor once again. Downside to only have one carrier too.

You ur Navy has like 11? They can easily use one or two to bomb [insert random sand shithole] and use the rest for training personell and other to maintenance. China has only 1 and building another 2 which will be used for their oversea operations.

>build boats that big and still need a ramp
lol, are your jets powered by soy ?

Russia only keeps the Kuz for the prestige of owning a carrier. They had to move the air wing to land halfway through it's first fucking operational deployment last year because planes kept going into the water.

Its tugboat is much more important than the carrier itself.

>calls itself a "helicopter carrier"
>pretends that it can't launch jets just as easily

This is just the Japanese way. A hallmark of why Japanese are often described as 'inscrutable' in US media. Not just politicians, businessmen, or diplomats; even baseball players are described as 'inscrutable'.

For a few seconds i thought they made a "THX IOWA" on the Izumo deck, lol.

It really can't, iirc F-35s need special decks to handle the temperature of the exhaust when they do VTOL

Additionally VTOL greatly limits load capacity

Twofaced lying backstabbers*

t. butthurt anglo jelly at not having a NUCLEAR carrier
have fun with your weak soycarrier with conventional propulsion!

Attached: 830008.jpg (680x453, 62K)

Because there is no catapult in this aircraft carrier.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 226K)

with VTOL, catapults aren't necessary.

LMAO

Attached: 343D8BA58AEC4C0EBF125904D3BC5ADA.jpg (3000x2000, 608K)

They’d need to widen the hangar, the elevators, replace the deck, and VTOL makes the F-35B lose about half its payload and distance.

Extremely unlikely to happen.

>his ships can't be easily retired as man-made reef
laughing at your life diesellet

You're aware that they still need to stop for maintenance and resupply, right?

>carriers
>anything but useless, big fat targets
lol

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Attached: IMG_20180420_114928.jpg (720x1031, 107K)

carriers are basically meaningless until anti-missle technology improves. Also anti-air lasers and railguns make airplanes kill

How many french men does it take to defend paris?
Nobody knows because it's never been done
Why are the streets of paris lined with trees?
So ze germans can walk in the shade.

WHOA what have you been feeding her Japan shes huge

For training and know-how, more like.
Maybe Russia can't afford carriers, but it wants to be able to make some money selling navalized jets to countries like India and maybe China
