I don't think this is a new logo but that it's just the image they'll be using to represent actual nodes on the network.

Why didn't anyone bring it up before? There are people on this board who research LINK 12 hours a day 7 days a week.

For examples sake, I'll use Amazon. So Amazon could create a contract or simple wallet address that can receive payment in ETH or any ERC token. Amazon then uses their own ChainLink node to monitor that address. Whenever payment comes into that address, the ChainLink node would notify their API's saying address of X has paid Y amount of ETH. The node can then use an external adaptor to get the live price of Ethereum and then convert it to any currency on the fly, giving them the USD amount.

This would allow for the following use-case: You could send ETH to Amazon that is used for payment, does on-the-fly conversion rates and then notifies their API's.

That's all just with a single CL node.

dunno, maybe it means the stuff with salesforce/etc didn't go so well. but mostly they don't even use that weblog tool anymore. the footer isn't updated, either. so it's just an old page.
