I feel very sad everytime I listen to Windir because Valfar has died a relatively depressing, but peaceful death, but also because Windir were sort of the good guys of norwegian black metal.

We used to have a lot of good black metal bands, but I'd say pagan/folk took over a while ago. Death is pretty common as well, but I'd say that more interesting music is being put out by bands mixing genres, like Dissimulation or Pergalė.

Satyricon's only good song was Mother North. The rest is honestly shit.
