What do poor people's homes look like in your country, Jow Forums?
I suffer in America
How poor?
Low-income, but not homeless or living in a tent or anything like that.
Well, people earning minimum wage still live in commieblocks, along other working class people, since they usually get free heating/water/electricity. Even poorer schmucks also get to live in apartments rented out to them by the municipal government. Picrel is an average commieblock, and income of people living in there might be anywhere from 400€ to over a 1000€. The ones who live in shitty decrepit houses that are falling apart, are people who "lack social skills", meaning alcoholics mostly.
Is that Kentucky?
>trailer.jpg
that doesn't look like a trailer
spacious and comfy
it is
Personally lived in a """house""" like that for 9 years of my life. Still better than living in a city though.
I think those are both in Oregon.
What % of people in commieblocks own cars? I notice some of them have surprisingly large parking lots for low-income areas.
Rowhouses in more rural regions, commieblocks in cities
Yes it does so you stupid idiot, and the fact that you don't think so betrays your own objectively lower standard of living. It's like you don't see how in principle the small structure is a thing which can be moved once the foliage is cleared away.
Doesnt america have some form of social housing policy? Like i know theres quite outstanding levels of poverty in the states but even when we read about 20% or whatever of children living in poverty i assume it means still in some kind pf permanent housing - hard to imagine with all the land you guys have and all the wealth that people still have to live like the gypsiest of gypsies
Everyone and their grandmother owns a car. They might be cheap shitty rustbuckets, but usully only old babushkas don't have a car. Which is a bit of a problem, since commies didn't plan for so many cars.
>100 apartment commieblock
>20 parking spaces
Oy vey, worse than Shoah...
Omsk
hes full of shit, apartments are standard type of living in europe, eveything is close, it worth more than a house in a village, my neighbours are actually rich and own several cars, apartments and holiday homes still living in a commieblock
>apartments are standard type of living in europe
No they are not in Britain and the Netherlands.
>"he's full of shit"
>proceeds to agree with me
Are you ok?
>be poor
>buy a bmw
Every fucking time. I have no respect for these people.
Sort of. The main federal program is called "section 8," but it has confusing income requirements and long wait-times in many areas. It's intentionally-difficult to use. Some cities like New York have their own public housing programs, but they don't have enough units for demand, so the wait lists take many years.
>Some cities like New York have their own public housing programs, but they don't have enough units for demand, so the wait lists take many years.
wow truly the greatest time to be alive!™
Particularly common amongst people from a certain part of the world
>intentionally difficult to use
Do americans genuinely hate poor people? The only other reason i can think of is that youre a nation (not you specifically) of such bootlickers that you dont think the rich should be taxed extra.
Im discounting the selfishness option because most americans ive met have been quite generous, but maybe ive just been lucky
Low income: suburban Commieblocks built in the 60's
Medium income: suburban commieblocks built in the 2000's or
High income: commieblocks in the citycentral
Most of them aren't even "properly" poor, they just employ the mentality, which is a bit difficult to explain in english, that if it's public property owned by everyone, then it's not owned by anyone, and that they can abuse it, but someone else must fix it. So their surroundings look like shit, despite their income. The inside of their apartment might actually be nice.
It's the bane of ex-soviet block.
Commieblocks hell yeah.
>Do americans genuinely hate poor people?
It's probably more complicated than that. A lot of bad stereotypes come from the horrendous conditions in certain cities. There is a lot of disgust at the idea of giving such people free money and houses just to breed and create more such people. But now that income growth for normal people is stagnant, there is more debate about "universal income" and other forms of assistance to people outside of the upper-middle-class.
>Do americans genuinely hate poor people?
A lot of people here do, actually. The mindset is generally "if you're poor, you're just not working hard enough!" It's complete nonsense, but it's ingrained into our cultural mindset along with the whole "Fuck you, I got mine!" shit. That doesn't literally everyone subscribes to these beliefs, but a fairly sizeable amount of the population does.
I get what you mean though, it's the same ghetto mentality here. You'll have places full of gypsys going to shit because they think they wouldn't have to pay for it. Most people don't seem to understand that even if they buy something they have to pay VAT etc. which goes to the state and in the end they are wasting their money too.
In every country streets are maintained by the public administration.
Way to completely miss the point.
No obviously i get the idea of media.brainwashing etc. But thats present to possibly an even greater extent in say the UK but everybody still supports the idea of some form of social housing/free healthcare - and thats even with the added element of large amounts of immigration
What's up with christians suvscribing to these views though? Aside from civil liberty issues christians are about as sympathetic as they come in a lot of europe (the older ones might be curtain twitching gossips but they still are in favour of a big state)
Don't try to fool us, Brazil. Poor in Brazil don't live in commieblocks, they live in favelas.
OP said "not living in a tent or anything like that".
Also fuck off, you have your own mudhouses too and just as shit as us.
they look like their parents house/apartment.
poor people live in state owned houses here, thank god.
Religiosity plays a secondary role when it comes to charity here. Income level, and the split along rural/urban line seem more relevant.
I have met only one poor guy in my life since I live in a medium income/class area in the middle of athens and most people aren't immigrants. Basically, he smelled like fucking shit because he never took a shower and wore the same clothes all the time. His family wanted to cut expenses on water but funnily enough he still went out to have a coffee.
Also another guy I knew had two unemployed parents and they basically lived off the pension of their elders. Then they opened a business and it was a success and this cunt wastes his money with buying motorcycles, going on holiday, while not working to guarantee a future for himself and his family.
You'd think someone who lived in poverty to be more aware of this.
We Brazilians live off propaganda.
Biednas nes durnas, durnas nes biednas desu.
>i am a special rural redneck snowflake
To add to this; many people might have had unemployed parents (I'm 18 so I haven't been out of school so I don't know anyone my age who has worked) but the average Greek before the crisis had a lot of wealth stored in either banks or in the form of owning many houses etc. So most people don't fall in poverty because of said wealth.
In rural Greece I know a lot of people (30-40 yr old) who are uneducated (until 10-20 years almost everyone that grew up in a village/small town didn't attend university) and basically do shit tier work like construction and get very little money. I know such a guy who lives in some concrete cuckshed in the middle of some forest, he is an alcoholic kek
>Дoнeцкaя oблacть
>$2100
top kek
If ever met mudhouse in Russia, its more likely freak homeless or just freak. It's exceptional thing, but in Brazil favelas exist in every city.
Some people will always be too stupid for their own good (which sometimes is the reason they're poor).
Hy тaм oчeнь хyeвый гopoд.
>still live in commieblocks, along other working class people, since they usually get free heating/water/electricity. Even poorer schmucks also get to live in apartments rented out to them by the municipal government.
WHAT THE FUCK
There are people in Russia who work full-time yet struggle to pay their monthly bills and buy enough food to feed themselves. And if such people don't own a flat they are absolutely fucked since there is no way they can rent anything.
Even fucking Lithuania seems like paradise compared to this shithole.
Poor can buy PPRT, poorest housing scheme which cost about USD7200. In the city they get commieblocks.
This house went for a million Aussie dollars...
At least you have shelter.
shelter is for commies. having the opportunity to work and pay for housing is a privilege, not a right
>Even fucking Lithuania seems like paradise compared to this shithole.
it isn't
>shelter is for commies.
Shelter is has been for everyone for over 200k years.
>Oregon
Fun fact: Oregon has the highest concentration of Gypsies in the USA
To be fair we also have people who barely make ends meet, but it's usually because of lack of work, lack of will to work, or lack of social skills (living in shit, and being content with it), or a combination of the above. I also imagine there are longer waitlists for those municipal apartments in larger cities, but in my town it's a couple of months on average. Food shouldn't be any issue to anyone since there are both government payouts, and various non-profits who provide food for poor people (maltese order, Caritas, maisto bankas).
I thought Russia had a similar system.
Giving everyone shelter and food is possible but requires actually doing it.
Oh yeah, there's also an income trap, where you make just enough to not qualify for any of the government subsidies, but just barely enough to scrape by. Young families who have to rent an apartment are the most vulnerable. But you can still get food from Maisto Bankas and such.
you are all gonna be poor once jews roll in the robots and AI
It definitely isn't but you need some really bad luck to end up homeless or living in a shack. Or too much pride to ask for help, I guess.
What are property prices like in small-town Australia, as opposed to the big cities?
Another alternative is various settler program like FELDA.
>Sign up, free housing and utility
>work the land according to contract
>sell back mature plantation land to state and get rich
>move to the city, send kids to good school and other poor cycles in and the houses get better each generation
Its developed from insurgency era anti guerilla model where population are moved away from them.
Last method is being a terrorist, upon release the state will give some rural house and job where they plant rubber or vegetables.
Hy a вoинa нe тaм ли идёт? У нac, мaпpимep, зa 2000€ мoжнo кyпит мaлeнкyю квapтиpы в Кypшeнaи. Heбoлшoи гopoдoк нeдaлeкo oт Шиayлиaи.

Honestly, most Christians here in the states don't particularly follow the religion. At least, not in a charitable way. It's this vague "Christianity" which hardly has anything to do with the faith and more just "believing in God so I don't go to hell". That's not to say Christian soup kitchens and homeless shelters aren't a thing here, they do exist and are a big help for a lot of people. However, we have tons of funds poured into megachurches and shit like that which doesn't help the impoverished at all.
Repair this house
Can live without any problems
Go away Jap
what did he mean by this
Here in Barcelona we have there ala commie blocks full of gypsies pakis and many different inmigrants.
It's funny that it's located pretty near the coast and the beach.
every single replacement part for E36 costs literally 3 EUR
20 км дo пepeдoвoй
>america
>first world
Wow, that's Russia tier, actually i think not even Russia has metal shacks like that.
Every country has weirdos who choose to live like that, hardly reflects on the country as a whole.
it's not metal. it's doors. all of it. it's a door shack.
Most people live in apartments, but poor people live in specially shitty ones
This is the poorest neighborhood in Spain for example
I remember this shit, this is somehow connected with 12 year old girl live suicide
somebody post the screencap
>be poor american
>live in a beautiful landscape like the appalachians
>drink moonshine and chew dip
>have 5 white children with your redneck wife
>shoot guns at birds and eat them
beautiful fucking life
Looks comfy
Poor Russians lives here
It’s really common to see poor nigs out here driving BMWs too
More commieblocks.
We're generous to people we know personally, but not in any other respect
And some non-commieblocks
here you go my man
>he thinks appalachia is like that
it's more like living in shit conditions and getting addicted to drugs to compensate for the depressing existence
doesn't matter how beautiful the mountains are when you have trouble getting access to decent living conditions
it's not the most pleasant place
No paved sidewalks in sight
And an actual commieblock. As in "communal housing", buildings whose residents had private rooms, but lavatories and kitchens were shared. Sort of like student dorms. These usually are the worst maintained, and poorest people live in them.
forgot to attach a picture
I wouldn't be suprised if these were flagged as dangerous NGOs.
>hands out food donated by other people
>dangerous NGO
uwotm8?
In orthodox ex-commie Putin Russia. I can see this happening, neither outcome would greatly suprise me, though.
Oh. I though you meant here.
