> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

Reposting from tail end of previous thread.

Pretty good interview with Derek Ross of my pet penny stock Future Farm Technologies up on Technical 420. It's a bit of a hype piece but everything Ross states in the article is true. Keep in mind federal legalization of industrial hemp is much closer than rec sales of marijuana is in the US (there is already a bill making its way through the process right now):

It seems investors like this article as FFT is currently +11% today.

can you talk a bit more about this? is the implication that you pay less for earnings off hardware like APPL compared to software/service companies? why is this so?

reposting for this bro hoping to gain some knowledge about his reasoning

>better short a company which has been beaten down massively over the past week and has negative news all over the mainstream media

Never going to make it son. Did you not get the memo to buy the rumour and sell the news? Same with FB, but you need to sell the rumour, then buy the news.

not him but imagine the marginal profit from an additional consumer. if you're apple you have to physically build a new computer and it costs you raw parts, shipping and so forth. if you're facebook it costs you literally zero to service a new customer.

Do you think it is a good idea to sell put when you are long a stock ?
I just sold a put on OHI and I plan to be long on that.

What the hell is going on?!

The highest BAL i've seen in someone who was awake was .7. Dude was a drinker all his life. He would go into full on DT's WHILE STILL WITH A BAL OF .3.

He died alone on a cold day.

NAK attack

Why did DIS crash today? Should I buy calls?

that does make sense and what i was thinking but i wasnt sure. How is this affected by how much Apple makes from the App Store? At this point that revenue has to be one of their biggest doesn't it, but I have no idea how much they make per iPhone of course

we're at war.

idk but I'm getting fucking tired of this shit

app store revenue is increasing but apple's revenue and profit line is still dominated by the iphone

Is LBCC getting delisted?

boomers are continuing to move their retirement funds away from stocks.

Yes sir.

I sold my junk bond puts, political uncertainty is driving boomers to bonds even with rate hikes.
Rip :(
What should i replace it with?

>The expenses of software are much more concentrated on growth, just fundamentally from how the business model of software companies work as opposed to hardware companies.
My response from the last thread.
I typed out a really fucking long post on my phone, then it said "response too long" and deleted the whole fucking thing.
Give me a minute to do this again.

Do you think USO can gain 8% by August?

>tfw robinhood keeps almost marking me as a pattern day trader

this shit is so fucking annoying, why do they care if i lose all my money?

Because the government will fine them

thanks man im still learning trading and this makes sense, the more investing a company has to do to generate a dollar in revenue the less as an 'investor' we should pay them forthe right to that profit

Is this also why almost all the biggest companies by M.Cap in the world are predominantly software, besides Apple? The extra revenue they generate just scales their stock price/mcap so much more than old boomer companies selling dumb hardware?

Do this and you'll get 14% for as much margin as you want to risk.

ESPN+ released today. People selling the news.

There are federal laws about day trading.

It’s not a Robinhood thing, it’s a regulatory thing, I think.

Pic related are my options. At least they’re cheap desu.

Ok, so software companies are much better economies of scale.
I can start a software start-up from my apartment on my couch and the only risk -- all I have to lose -- is my time.
Additionally, a website can scale to millions of users before experiencing any growing pains. If you have any monetization plan at all, you'll have fat wads of cash to pay for a team of brilliant developers to fix the issues for you when you finally do experience growing pains.

Hardware, on the other hand, requires an investment. To sell 1 million computers, I have to make or buy 1 million computers.

Software -> profit = revenue - (salary)
Hardware -> profit = revenue - (salary + cost of goods sold)

Specifically addressing the P/E ratios... Software companies expenses are salary. Salary is paying for employees to improve and grow your product.
If FB laid off all their employees, they'd still be making billions in revenue and only paying hundreds of thousands or so for the cost of running their servers. It'd be like 99% profit.
Alternatively, AAPL gets billions in revenue, but they have to pay billions to make those computers.

Hardware companies have to think about their profit margins in a way that software companies don't until they get to the scale of Google and are in the fortune 500.

Hardware companies have a completely different mentality when it comes to paying for employees. Employees cut in to the profit of each computer sold and contribute to how much each computer costs.

Salary is paying for GROWTH.
The main and basically only expense of software companies is salary.
The main expense of software companies is GROWTH.
Hardware companies have to pay for cost of goods sold and try to subsidize growth with the profit margins left over after taking out billions in costs of goods sold.

Consumer Cyclicals are gonna get rekt .

Cmon trump I need a war in Syria for those sweet KTOS gains

Also KTOS is currently holding tight above 11.05 support. Next resistance is in the 11.50 range.

It seems the lest I trade, the less money I lose. It's getting to the point where I actually ended green yesterday

Trying to decide between August or July Calls. July is 7.5% break even, August is 8.5% break even

Stop trading on margin

Went with this

Attached: Screenshot_20180412-121233.png (1080x1920, 100K)

So the idea when investing in either of these types of companies is that you have to worry a lot more about debt and eventually bankruptcy with a hardware company since they have to spend money BEFORE making it, relative to a software company? So software trades at a much larger premium because they are much more likely to continue to generate top tier profit/revenue with a relative lack of costs necessary to faciliate that revenue?

And this basically shows up in investing with say sub 20 PE ratios for hardware companies and up to 60-80 PE ratios for software companies, generally speaking?

That's one of the worst lineups of investments I've seen in awhile.

That's going to be a tough one... You're going to need the national average for diesel to hit like 3.5 by the end of may to make any money on that. Which is entirely possible.

>expires worthless

Attached: 1523403720970.png (800x800, 84K)

The higher P/E ratio is for the higher prospect of growth for software companies. Their products/services are easily scalable and require little capital expenditure. Besides, because of how the GAAP was conceived, the R&D are expensed which is not true. The knowledge and know-how are stored somewhere, so R&D should be capitalised. That's why tech companies like focusing on the non-GAAP figures.

And generally speaking, software companies boast higher ROIC and margins.

What happens when you get 3 ?

I chickened out and sold it for 0% gain kek

Robinhood locks you from making any same day sales past 3 as long as you have PDT protection on. If you make a fourth, I think its a 90 day lock out on any same-day trades

unless ur portfolio > 25k

If you have to ask about PDT rules you don't have 25k
t. 2.5 portfolio

Holy shit did you see what happend at TVIX's office today? I just got this from the CEO.

KTOS should hit 11.50+by next week, based on resistance support levels from simple MAs. Need to see it stay above 11.05 this week. Should have some contract announcements soon, including overseas contracts. We gotta arm our allies to drop bombs in Syria.

When will amd reach $11??

This Market Complacency holy shit.
People are expecting too much for earnings.
This is gonna end up in tears.

if the answer is "slower than another stock will rise by the same amount," sell AMD and buy that other stock. I lost 20k holding a stock during the trump bullrun. dont be me user.

I'm worried about volume. It hasn't been getting much attention. It needs some news. With news I think your right and we'll blow up to 12.6 and likely shatter resistance.

NEED muh gremlins

put in your limit sell at 10.90. as soon as it hits 11 it's dumping to $9 in 1 day

If JPM doesn't deliver tomorrow, we're about to see the drop of a lifetime. If they hit, golden bullrun. Place your bets and buckle up.

Don't get eaten by a shark

the golden bull run ...

are you a retired pro trader just chillin on your boat with your profits? whats with the pics today just curious

Why do I have to fund my account at all? Why can't I just trade stocks, have the brokerage firm mail me a check for my profits or, if I lose money, I'll mail the firm a check for my losses?

>if the answer is "slower than another stock will rise by the same amount,"

If you're on margin, you can borrow up to 70% usually of the stock's value to buy another stock. Thus, you hold two positions for the price of one. It's risky as fuck, but it can help in these type of situations. It's just one way.
