This thread is for the discussion of the language, culture, travel, daily life, etc. of Japan. Let's tark at randam in Japanese and English. Take it easy!
Using their ears, mainly Listening to natives and trying to imitate the way they speak is a good idea That way you can avoid relying on how it's written since some important details are not there in writing
short grain is only good in sushi medium or jasmine is godtier
Ian Young
Short grain rice is also delicious But Short grain rice is not suitable for fried rice and paella, because it is more sticky than long grain rice. Japanese eat Short grain rice with pickles and Furikake (dried food sprinkled over rice)
I'd tell you but honestly I don't know since I learned by imitating Checking out the IPA chart for Japanese on Wikipedia might be a good idea to get a bit familiar with what sounds exist in the language Some of the things to watch out for are short/long vowels because those tend to be linked with word stress in English Double consonants, too. Compare "stop laying" and "stop playing"
Ok thank you. Do you have any thoughts on the particular rice in the picture?

>Do you have any thoughts on the particular rice in the picture? I think it's okay because it is Koshihikari made in Niigata. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koshihikari Blended rice are also sold from あかふじ米, althought it's cheap, its taste is bad and unpopular.
Can someone answer this for me? What exactly was our impact on the Sengoku period ? To what degree did Nanban tarde (firearms) and Christianity (priests with western knowledge/perspectives) cause destabilisation/power unbalance ?
We only mention that we introduced firearms and established trade, nothing else in particular.
Yes, though i must admit it's nothing special, just a simple $130 kit i ordered from China, the print quality is fairly admirable for the price though.
>$130 That's cheap desu What do you usually make with that?
Evan Gutierrez
>130$ How much does the material for printing cost?
Alexander Davis
I've got a few projects going on atm like an rc airplane that uses many printed parts due to their light weight, the freedom it gives to me when designing, and the ease of manufacture. And my other current project is an rc tracked vehicle. And of course on the side i print some figurines to see what the printer is capable of. The ordinary inexpensive plastics like PLA and ABS are $20 per kg.
More than I thought desu Do you make those for work? Or for hobby?
Connor Ward
Hobby, so far i do not think i have anything people would pay for really, maybe if i get my airplane design perfected but airfoil selection and wing shape are troubling for my small brains!
