>Realize IQ scores in 3rd world countries are only so low because the people there have more to live for than their own intelligence >They take the test, but they don't take it seriously because they've got things of value in their life >They're a part of an expansive community, they've got friends and family, etc >White people only score so highly because some of the people taking the tests have lives that are pure misery, so they need to somehow validate that misery by being "smart"
Does anyone else feel like this is the truth? Outside of black people, I never meet anyone that's actually dumb.
Hello armchair psychologist. How are you doing today?
Jack Perez
Dumb people can be good friends and the smart ones tend to be arrogants, when I choosed my friends in life, dumb people tend to be more loyal and can help you with whatever you need and smart ones can and will stab you. Now I'm not against having smart friends, It's actually a benefit in life, I 'm just mentioning sometimes when you are poor and your life choices are limited, the dumb ones become your best friends But there's exceptions everywhere.
Julian Williams
No, they score so low because they're actually dumb and the best they'll ever do will be hauling trash for pennies. There's a reason why Europe colonised the world and the 3rd world was colonised.
Levi Wilson
Total falseness.
Tyler Butler
>There's a reason why Europe colonised the world and the 3rd world was colonised.
And that is?
Ryan Young
There are dumb smart people I will say For example one of my friends at uni is an ace at math programming and electronics, he shrugs hard af demonstrations like they are simple sums But he’s always saying dumb shit, can’t speak any other language other than “Spanish” he can’t even redact a letter correctly using S and C interchangeably
Levi Edwards
>There's a reason why Europe colonized the 3rd world
I know intelligence is a big answer to this, but I think it has more to do with tribe location and resources than raw intelligence.
The Aztecs did it too, but they did it with 90 IQ.
Christopher Reed
Meat heavy diets literally increase brain power. Europeans were the only only ones to really develop animal husbandry, and ate lots of meat. The Europeans were quite genuinely more intelligent than the rest of the world because of their diet.
Lucas Ward
The truth is that IQ tests dont accurately measure "intelligence" Moreover IQ tests are culturally-biased Also IQ scores depend not only on nature but on nurture too in equal part. Nurture not only includes nutrition and other environmental factors but also education. I'd wager I could train anybody here to score 10-20 points higher on an IQ test than they currently do unless they're already scoring a 140 t. MENSA member
Xavier Jones
They developed husbandry because of their geographic location and various other variables, genetic intelligence being another.
European people were smart, sure, but a lot of their achievements stem from being in the right place at the right time.
Who would invent husbandry if they weren't in one area all day?
Joshua Bailey
South America in particular couldn't develop animal husbandry because they straight up didn't have any decent animals to domesticate, no cows, no horses, etc.
Noah Hill
I've worked in a few third world countries. They're dumb. Low common sense, hard for them to grasp concepts etc.
Carson Cook
The Maasai literally ate nothing besides meat, milk, and blood. There are obviously more variables involved than eating meat.
Gavin Nelson
Lmfao ahhahahahahahah
Bentley Watson
nope, smart people is hard to find
Oliver Hall
>Low common sense
Can you define what this is? I've met Ahskenazi Jews that are tenured professors that straight up drive cars into flood waters
Jaxson Clark
They were probably dumb ""social sciences""" or humanities teachers.
Asher James
I think he might've been a history/anthropology professor
I feel kind of bad sharing this information with you, but it's the truth.
Elijah Williams
Tons of book smart people lack common sense. In my opinion it doesn't matter if your really book smart if you have no common sense
Aiden Rogers
OP is completely wrong (armchair psychology is even less of a science than regular ""psychology"", which should be pulled from academia).
ITT: the rest of you are denying the fact intelligence played a huge role in EE development
t. Evolutionary Geneticist at ETH (yeah, the school you couldn't get into)
Jeremiah Cruz
>Bitcoin man thinks he's better than me
Fuck that guy
Matthew Ward
I think common sense is something that is learned.
I meet Asian people that can't set a box upright against a wall without it falling down, and they're company managers.
It's fucking crazy.
Jayden Edwards
>t. Evolutionary Geneticist at ETH (yeah, the school you couldn't get into) More likely you are a dumb Portuguese emigrant, that works has a waitress so you can buy a tunning car and the cristiano ronaldo shirt. Hope your kind die
Gavin Thompson
Environment is incredible important. Take new born twin brothers, send one to a tribe in the middle of Africa and have the other adopted by some Ubermensch in a successful first world country with a proper diet, education, encouraging environment and nurture at a young age and guess who'll outperform the other. Now do exactly that but on a macro scale; how many schools per capita do 1st world countries have compared to 3rd world countries. Same for food safety, pedagogic techniques, and overall social idiosyncrasies. You could maybe argue that maybe everyone is born equal, but even then 1st world countries have a better framework to develop and exploit their newer generations' potential. All governments benefit from intelligent and literate population, but you still need decades of uninterrupted progress and institution building for that. Underdeveloped countries are not known for that kind of thing.
Juan Bailey
No it's not learned. It's innate. You either have it or you don't
