Does Trump deserve credit for the Korean war ending?
Does Trump deserve credit for the Korean war ending?
Some credit yes but I dont think he deserves the nobel peace prize or something.
It mostly goes to the efforts of the Koreas themselves.
That's given out for everything
Sure. He deserve Noble Peace prize. Anyway everybody knows that its politician biased prize, so nobody cares.
>nobel peace prize
Meh that prize has become irrelevant anyway
Fuck, we even gave it to Obama after less than a year in office
dubs of truth
>I dont think he deserves the nobel peace prize or something.
I guess so too. He just got pennis from heaven, although his powerful messages at the UN and trade sanctions and pressuring towards countries related to the North Korea does worked well afte all.
Well, both Kim and Moon will have to give some present to Trump. So Trump will share Nobel Prize with Kim and Moon.
>I dont think he deserves the nobel peace prize or something
is destabilizing the entire middle east and north africa causing massive prolonged civil wars with hundreds of thousands of casualties combined plus a migration wave that politically destabilizes the entire european continent a requirement to get one of those?
hnng
malia is cute
>60 years of nothing
>trump elected
>trump calls their bluff
>suddenly they come out to talk
>Wow obama is great!
nibba pls
If Obama can get it, why can't Trump? It seems they're just handing it out like invitations to birthday party
I dont think Obama deserved it at all either. In the end if Moon, Trump, Xi and Kim Jong-un share it then whatever.
Did it really end?
Fuck that sucks
Xi Jinping pulled the plug, not Trump
obama got it for starting the war in syria and creating ISIS, so I guess averting a nuclear holocaust is worthy a nobel peace prize too
Yeah, all of them were essential for it. Xi Jinping never had very good relations with Kim and because of that enacted the sanctions, Trump is probably the only American president that would accept the meeting rather than just keeping the "we don't negotiate with bad guys" posture, and Moon among other things was the only American ally pushing for talks during all the crisis, even when Trump and Abe were trigger happy calling Kim a "rocket man" and planning a bloody nose strike.
Why should they use Obama as the ultimate parameter for the prize? Do you think every American president from now on should receive a nobel prize for not starting wars?
Kim and Moon deserve it to be honest. The constructive parts of these talks happened entirely in a vacuum away from US advisors.
Let me preface this by saying I am not a trump supporter.
Yes he deserves credit, I don't give a shit about his scandals. He's unpredictable and entertaining.
But North Korea always focused their rhetoric on USA first SK second, because America is the country they were afraid of. Trump deserves at least the credit of temporally ceasing the hostile attitude and giving Moon and Kim room to talk.
The more I read about that the more it sounds like Xi pushed for it.
Can anyone explain to me, how exactly, Trump deserves credit for this? What, explicitly has he done, or what policy has he enacted, that brought Kim to the table?
All he's been doing is sabre rattling for the last year with embarrassing tweets. The sabre rattling is nothing new for any president. The sanctions are not new or unique to the Trump administration, so I'm genuinely curious to know why Trump would get any credit for any of this?
To me, it seems like all the credit goes towards the two Korean leaders.
Sure, if it actually ends.
> politics
Gtfo
kissinger got it as well and he's also an extremely vile politician. I'm sure you can find many more examples of very questionable "peace" "laureates".
1. The Korean War is not ending.
2. Stop believing what the North Koreans promise.
3. Credit, if this happens, goes to all parties involved. Considering one nation provides 90% of North Korea’s economy, maybe it gets the most credit for enforcing the sanctions.
Merkel is desperate for the Nobel peace prize, imagine if Trump of all people cucks her out of it.
>people say trump will start another world war
>ends the korean war instead
That's a pretty 2/10 answer there, guy. Your first two points were completely irrelevant to my question of what explicitly has Trump done to bring Kim to the table, or why he deserves credit in any capacity.
>trump calls their bluff
The telemetry and seismic data doesn't lie.
North Korea finally appears to have achieved, or at least be on the cusp of, its longtime goal of having a nuclear arsenal capable of destroying cities on the continental US itself, not just South Korea, Japan, or outlying US military bases. Kim commits to very little by saying he's suspending nuclear and missile testing, because they've already achieved a credible deterrent.
Trump trades insults and threats with little rocket man Kim, and float proposals for a first strike on North Korea, without giving much indication that the potential impact on South Korea is any of his concern. Moon fears America will pursue its own interests without regard for South Korea, and is looking to head them off with a peace initiative.
The people who have not known the actual situation of the Korean
WILL be angry after this.
Can you japs just fucking get nuked again? Speak english for heaven’s sake
>Trump talks shit
>Nothing happens
>Kim visits Beijing after Xi gets himself crowned for life
>Suddenly it's all over
>TRUMP DID IT MAGA
Fucking retarded cultists.
>Kim visited Beijing right after Xi Jinping solidified his power
>Now this happens
Damn, Xi and Kim are playing Trump like a fucking fiddle.
They both have only 1 goal, to get rid of US influence in the peninsula, and this is all this is. They'll pretend to play nice and the retards in the white house will fall for it, war ends, troops are coming home and the bases are closed.
Then it starts again, and this time with 50% of Americans regional power base in Asia removed.
Thanks for handing more power to China, America.
