How the fuck did they find all of the places? And what kind of anime takes real places, even a fucking locker, in an anime? Also, there's some real life pics which are better than the cartoon version.
Plenty of anime take photos of real places and use them as backgrounds or edit them. Makoto Shinkai is famous for this.
Not quite, but it still is beautiful
Go back to 2ch gomi boy
I've only seen it on some doujins and very shitty, no budget at all animes.
my gaijin friend loves kyoto for some reason
maybe anime
Kyoto is the most beautiful Japanese city by far. It's not difficult to see why he prefers it.
If you expect the kind of hyper-saturated shit you see in anime you'll be sorely disappointed. I hope somebody can get around to posting that comparison from Non Non Biyori. The real village looked straight out of the Soviet countryside. And yes, I mean Soviet - it felt like a trip to the past.
But with that being said, it's not awful. The cities are really dense, but they're also fairly clean.
And there is
Nice shot. I wish I spent more time setting up my photos when I was over there (and brought my tripod).
Didn't mean to post any text, no idea how that got there.
But anyway, most East Asian cities look "clean" in just the same way. But since Japan has a greater cultural integrity - they were an isolated island country, there's more "soul" and "variety" in the way buildings look. The new and the old are blended in a nice way.
What the fucking hell is this?
some part beautiful
others not so much
Shibuya crossing, lazy long exposure which means blown-out lights in exchange for movement trails. Stay still and there's no blur effect.
This pic is in animeland (akihabara)
A long exposure shot of the pedestrians crossing the road, by the looks of it.
What's more intriguing is that there are a bunch of people that apparently stood perfectly still and got captured very clearly.
When did you visit? It looks fairly recent.
No, I mean this. What he said
Just a few weeks ago, for peak cherry blossom season. It was incredibly crowded at the temples, but it was still worth it. Next time, I hope to return to Mt. Yoshino for the cherry blossoms if I can wake up early enough.
Yeah. A lot of tourists were doing it, and even more were taking selfies in the middle of the intersection. I imagine it must get frustrating for the locals.
The anime in the pic is Haruhi Suzumiya, the movie I think.
I hope there will be more Haruhi animes in the near future. It's not like it wouldn't make money.
They better not make another one of those garbage.
