Used to do that as a kid, as well. It's not like I was getting dirty or smelly, so why wash myself every day?
However, when you hit your teenage years, your apocrine glands "turn on" and "activate" - and they secrete ambrosia for the local bacteria, which processes them, and what they leave after that leaves you stinking. This is likely the thing responsible for the strong, overpowering odour men have. Do yourself a favour and at least spend 3 minutes each day showering yourself.
You can even skip the soap every other day.
Also, skip washing your hair with shampoo and use it twice a week, too, if it's prone to getting dry and frizzy.

I did that no shampoo bullshit, didn't wash my hair for like a year, it was disgustingly greasy, people kept commenting on it, I believed the no shampoo meme and thought it would eventually adjust and stop getting greasy, NOPE! Plus I get disgusting dandruff if I don't shampoo my hair for a week. Now I wash my hair everyday and it looks very good, feels soft, no dandruff. WASH YOUR HAIR EVERYDAY IF YOU HAVE STRAIGHT HAIR!

I did say that if you have ISSUES with dry, lifeless hair you ought to give not shampooing EVERY DAY a try. It helped me fix my extremely shitty frizzy hair, and it helped others.
What I did NOT say is that you should avoid shampoo completely outright - not once did I say that. I said that you can use shampoo twice or thrice a week.
I have wavy hair and this worked for me. If you have pin-straight hair, then that's something else completely, and you do need to wash it every day since it's prone to getting greasy easily.
