Based Kazakhstan is officially switching its alphabet from disgusting inferior cyrillic to superior Latin.
Time to get closer with the developed world and say good bye to Russia and its corrupted, undeveloped and poor world. So-called russian sphere of influence is shrinking each day and pretty soon it will cease to exist completely.
Alphabet and the language in general is an extremely important part of your culture, the core of it, Ivan. Using some particular script makes it easier for the people to be a part of some bigger culture, to feel more connected to it. In the ex-soviet world cyrillic is associated with russia and its influence, as opposed to latin which is associated with the West and its culture. Switching from one script to another is a huge symbolic gesture, not to mention the practical aspects of it. Even the Kazakh officials respinsible for the switch openly said that it is being done mostly to integrate Kazakhstan into global, western-lead world, western community, and leave ex-soviet bloc, its cultural, political and economic spheres in the past.

White people are living Kazakhstan according to recent stats.

You did read it though, Ivan. And of course russian is STILL an official language (it's not the state language though) since you can't make such massive changes overnight.

i know you're the nato shill whose threads never get any replies
but i do not understand your mental gymnastics and why you think switching the alphabet means kz suddenly is a western ally when it's both part of the EEU and the CSTO
Lmao you're actually that Ivan who spends his whole pathetic life shilling for kremlin on Jow Forums. What a piece of garage you are. >means kz suddenly is a western ally when it's both part of the EEU and the CSTO I already replied to it, Ivan. You don't make such massive changes overnight. Even the Kazakhstan government admits that it's actively integrating the country into western world. Georgia was a part of CSTO too btw. Withrawing from it is easy af.

>be nato shill >waste every single minute of your life ranting against anything even remotely russian (such as the cyrillic script) >your threads never get any replies what a sad life
just letting you know that kazakhstan is probably the last country putin would worry about
Nobody gives a shit about that pathetic manlet and what should he worry about anymore you useless kremlinbot. No one even takes him seriously now.
Jack Roberts
only 5% of kazakhs are against putin. sorry to ruin your phantasies

Mambet, please. Don't make me life. Kazakhstan is semi-african republic without identity and history. And moreover there is supreme chief who rules country from 1991 to present day. Your struggling to get closer to the West is pathetic.
who cares lmao the real problem is that they never developed their own script
Michael Rivera
do they have any new letters?
Hunter Perry
How the fuck is this even possible to do? You've to make the entire country learn to read and write again? It was possible when literacy levels were low (like Turkey's transition from Arabic to Latin), but now it sounds utterly crazy.
>switching your language to latinics >not completely switching to english
Austin Allen
>Try to be more independent by de-Russifying >Replace it with western influence Why not use old Kipchak script for maximum special snowflakeness a la Armenia and Georgia
Jayden Moore
>a shithole changing something substantial as its own alphabet for emonomic purposes, ignoring all the tradition and records written
>invented Cyrillic >switching over to Latin, ever lmao that's never happening

Kazakhstan literally has (almost) the same GDP PPP per capita as Russia while having a much lower inequality rate. Also a russian calling any other country "african" is truly laughable considering russia's africa-tier HIV levels and banana economy based entirely on selling natural resources.
Also what "identity" are you talking about? Because modern russia and its population doesn't have one. Russians buy cheap ripoffs of western brands (due to lack of money), listen to western music (or at least 90% influenced by the west like hip-hop), watch american movies and so on. This and a bit of pathetic soviet nostalgia is all the "culture and identity" modern russia has. But every single post-soviet country has it.
>Don't make me life. Also this. Unfortunately it's not possible to make you "life" anymore, at least Kazakhstan is trying to make itself fully alive again.
Cooper Hernandez
>>Try to be more independent by de-Russifying >>Replace it with western influence Countries that are under western influence tend to be developed, prosperous and have low crime and corruption rates. Countries under russian sphere of influence tend to be, well, exactly the opposite. So the choice is clear. It's not about being a special snowflake, it's about distancing yourself from mordor aka russia.
Luis Long
What are you talking about, Mambet? If there wasn't natural resources your ulus would be Tajikistan or Turkmenistan tier or even worse. Also don't forget your nation was build literally by Lenin and his best pupil Stalin from language to territory. There was even chance to you to be called Kirgiz.
no, cyrillic has been created to suit slavic languages, unlike kazahk and the rest of the turkic languages... they do look ugly in cyrillic (personal opinion). nevertheless I don't think latin is a good choice for them either.

Redpill me on Turkmenistan Is the dictator still in power because of you or us? Does the average Russian even know Turkmenistan exists? I know average American does not
Charles Johnson
>Is the dictator still in power because of you or us? I guess it's because dictator manage to hold his power against local elites. And no one really cares about them. >Does the average Russian even know Turkmenistan exists? Yes because it was part of USSR.
