Realization that no matter how hard you try or what you do you are at least 50% out of control of your emotions and thoughts and the closest attempts we have ever had to science regarding consciousness confirm this genetic predetermination or at least figures very close to this.
Realizations that you will never really be in control of yourself and if you ever have questions like yours you are likely one of the unlucky ones and you have to choose between damaging yourself or continuing to damage people you care about because they cannot accept the idea of a fundamentally flawed psyche. Happiness is never guaranteed. The fact that more thought = more pain and the typical response to this is just desperate attempts to kill brain cells.
That is what hurts. I dont know what depresses you user but i hope its just virginity or lack of ambition or boredom/joking or 90% of the things talked about to extent of exhaustion on this board. Those things are temporary frustrations.
