Who really cares about Satoshis paper, he/they most probably did not intend any of this to happen. BTC is just an experiment.
Now time and the market has decided that BTC is a way to hedge against Fiat, being an alternative to gold and being the gateway crypto to altcoins.
There is nothing wrong with that. You can also do a lot more stuff with blockchain (including day to day spending), there's no reason BTC has to do everything.
BCH is literally an altcoin with BTC name. It doesn't matter if it's faster/more aligned with white paper or whatever - the majority decided "Bitcoin core" is BTC and that's that.
I think BCH would be way better off by focusing more on the superior tech they keep promising than politics and intentionally fooling normies.

Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash and both shitcoins. Bitcoin only has such a marketshare because it is a first mover. There are objectively dozens of better options as far as digital currencies go now based on technology alone and that applies to BCC too. BCC tries to shill it's technology but it's still behind shit like DGB and LTC and the only thing it has going for it is the "Bitcoin" in the name.
If it has all this technology that will replace EVERYTHING like the shills say then dump the Bitcoin part and forge it's own destiny. But that is never going to happen because at it's core BCC is just a cash grab and it's going to die just like BTC will except faster. The irony of trying to take the mantle of a dinosaur in the midst of its death throws is palpable.
