Can the US truly be considered a democratic country?
Can the US truly be considered a democratic country?
hello yes welcome to electoral collage areas outside of metropolises (that's a big city in case you were curious roman, also a city is a collection of buildings, and a building is fixed structure (incase you were roma and not aware of them))
matter too
roma can't use computers, like how aboriginals can't either
No, but neither can any capitalist state.
If you're looking for instances of voter suppression there are lots m8
But its their constitution they approved of it unless you consider their legislative bodies meme-tier and unrepresentative
It's the United States. A Union like the EU.
It's for fair geographic representation
>But its their constitution
And their constitution is undemocratic. The fact they followed the rules of their system doesn't mean it's any better if the outcome is still undemocratic.
Well if that's the case then it's shit. One vote per state would give fair representation to the individual regions of the country, just like one vote per person would give fair representation to the citizens of the nation. The United States does neither.
No such thing as Democracy
hi sudan i want to talk to you about your country
im trying to decide which african country is the best
that's retarded and stop having poorly thought out opinions about my country and maybe worry about your own
the jap is right
its definitely not sudan, welcome to any questions
I don't know enough about the founding fathers, and immediate legislative changes (first few decades) afterward but I get the impression people reinstituted alot of what they attempted to abolish
what city do you live in? what do think of it? is it nice, or do you hate it
Not that other guy, but what do you eat for breakfast
Yes, if you don't attend a highly exclusive university, the highest offices of government are closed off to you. Realistically, we can't be considered a democracy while the Ivy League still operates as it currently does.
capital, massive rural influx because of near non-existent urban development elsewhere, any development here abysmal due to every governmental contract being an opportunity to swindle taxpayer money in the name of Allah
nice depends on your definition, foreigners love the people because we're too nice and need every opportunity to act as ambassadors for Sudanese hospitality, free accommodation from culturally conservative villagers for US Embassy becoming a reciprocal tradition
While other African nations are achieving top 10 growth rates, we are closely approaching venezuela's situation but worse even, 2nd worldwide in inflation, people are mainly ecsatic because the government having suppressed, murdered and killed, revolution for the 4 time bringing possible streets of blood, they're going to collapse onto themselves
example? 2 weeks and petrol is hard to find, people forming lines across nights - 89 mil and 100 mil USD stolen by oil executives with intelligence ties and are thus, above accountability
fresh bread, cheese, eggs, sometimes sausage, burger and other sandwiches from fastfood but mainly foul (fava beans soup with lots of veggies) very nutritious and cost-effective
Or have control over major political parties simply because your surname is Kennedy, Clinton, Bush etc
>just like one vote per person would give fair representation to the citizens of the nation. The United States does neither.
It's not really fair when doing so effectively prevents people from certain areas from having any voice at all. And when it comes down to it, Americans in urban areas are so thoroughly entrenched in globalism that they can hardly be considered Americans at all. The value of their votes should be halved on principle.
It's only like that because those families gained their power through Ivy League networking. The one Bush who didn't attend Yale was stopped in his tracks.
wow...
where do you work?
>doing so effectively prevents people from certain areas from having any voice at all
How does making everyones voice count the same make anyone mute? If everyone has 1 vote how can anyone suddenly have less than 1?
How Ted Kennedy didn't get charged for manslaughter for what happened at Chappaquiddick is beyond me. Literally Russia/China tier nepotism and corruption.
>this debate again
Why do people assume the federal government is the only government in the US and assume it has absolute authority
Well, I was doing quite well and then had problems which eventually created enough social phobia to avoid the regular immigration for career stuff, using a local hospital as a cover for the CV but feel like lacking purpose
I need one examination and I get something called the british internal medicine diploma and then there's hope for a good job outside.
Of course you're concerned about standards but I consider myself very competent and above average, as vain as it sounds. Hunting for rare stuff is the most rewarding thing and its pretty much application of evidence-based guidelines from western authorities for regular practise (aka American College of Cardiology/European Society of Cardiology 2017 guidelines for hypertension, valvular heart disease, etc)
Is it more democratic at the state and local level?
No the amount of voter suppression, third-party influence, preliminary party-based rigging, etc is third-world tier
See: 1940 VP elections
>you aren’t real Americans but I am
Absolutely zero (0) self-awareness
Individualists can still respect and support other's capacity to express their individuality.
>Why isn't a Constitutional Republic the same as a Roman-Germanic Representative democracy
the sheer and ABSOLUTE undeniable state of e*Ropoooor education
Because denser areas will always dominate, and they face a vastly different set of issues than areas that are more sparse. By doing that you've effectively silenced the latter and prevented their issues from being addressed.
Urban America is an insurgent enemy nation operating within our borders attempting to export our capacity to habe a middle class in exchange of cheap foreign labor. They deserve to be completely disenfranchised.
hopefully you can get out of sudan and maybe into europe somewhere with a job you actually find interest in
how would you say the government is? strong, democratic? or corrupt and dictator like?
They have more meaningful ties to the global economy than the nation they claim as their own. It's not that they're "not real Americans", it's that they're not Americans in any sense.
Reminder that if your country requires ID to vote you're 3rd world
Why the fuck do you care how we elect our President?
Not every country does a direct popular vote.
It's fun to laugh at non democratic cunts. pic related
I have problems and I am pretty much frozen - assburgers but paranoia on top of it, sensory processing issues too with spoken language outside (million sounds and sensitivity, mind racing too fast to process language), also zero, zero emotional awareness and any attempt to compensate resulting in disastrous relationships
government is purely dictatorial and arrived in 1989 through a bloodless coup, comprising former military/intelligence members who based the whole thing on Islam, Islamic National Front, the ISlamic movement - interestingly they based it all initially on Hassan-AL-banna, or the Egyptian brotherhood (Mursi was going to be a big buddy)
Dictatorial beyond any reasonable measure, bloody and introduced 'houses of ghosts', torture sites for dissidents. Problem is that they are ridiculously corrupt.
Demanding national statistics especially as a journalist -> arrest for propaganda
Taking pictures of certain facilities -> arrest
All newspapers must be processed before circulation by intelligence, any corrupt official's name? removed/replaced
Any local seminar construed as revealing govt corruption? -> Arrest and torture
Protestors of commodity subsidy removal and wheat price manipulation? hundreds arrested and recently release because EU humanitarian watchdog scares them
>bloody and introduced 'houses of ghosts', torture sites for dissidents
Sounds spooky
Democracy is gay
yes
>farmer guy harassed by cousins/nephews of former intelligence chief, has cattle seized because why not
>chief is a sick individual who regularly taunted the people against the government, lick your elbows being a common slogan
>poor farmer tries confronting them
>weeklong torture
>multiple cerebral contusions, bleeds, skull fractures
>electrocutions, penis/testicle clenched severely with tools, nails removed from hands and feet
>multiple abdominal bleeds too
>body presented as an example and thrown within the vicinity of his farm
>you can imagine the public resentment when they all got presidential directives for release and removal of charges
You can understand why people hate the Islamists here, a tool to trick and now suppress any dissidence. Nearest one being the ultra meme that people tried to use in Syria and Egypt, walking out on the ruler even if he's corrupt is haram, absolutely
terrifying...
well, thank you for telling about you and your country. hope you get a job somewhere else youre passionate about
Thank you for allowing me to be a national ambassador and actually taking the time to ask some genuine questions, best of future luck in all endeavours bro
who cares? democrecy is a shit tier system anyway
