Are Americans culturally closer to Germans than to British people? They seem to share more things in common with Germans. Lack of sense of humour and imagination, hyper-competitiveness, worshipping of money and social status, cult of male body, tolerance for aggression and violence, extreme patriotism and militarism, tunnel vision of the world, inability to think outside of the box, unhealthy admiration of cars, suppression of emotions, hatred of disabled people, ethnic minorities and anyone who is "weird" and unusual, exceptionalism, extreme narrow-mindedness and fanaticism, the list goes on and on. America seems to be English-speaking Germany watered down with Blacks, Mexicans and Jews.
Are Americans culturally closer to Germans than to British people...
Also obsession with control and mass surveillance.
but german men are ridgid af
murricans love chill and comfy
you've never met a german have you?
i did (fucked too)
spot on mate
Erm, no not at all. Americans are literally the antithesis of Germans.
Germans are collectivist, unsociable, humorless, work machines with extreme autism that will gladly subject themselves to an authoritarian.
Americans are individualist, sociable, friendly, and extremely liberty and conservatism oriented.
The only thing Germans and Americans share is efficiency and heritage seeing as how so many Americans are Germans.
Hard to say as I have limited exposure to actual Germans, but I can tell you that the rural American countryside is littered with german-americans and they sort of check a lot of those boxes, however they are a also a very neighborly, helpful and warm people
>individualist
lol no, that's a myth
your marching bands, your worship of the military (the most de-individualizing organization imaginalbe), your cookie cutter lifestyle...
even your "liberals" are hyperconformists who demand that everybody must hold the same enlightened opinions - the puritans would recognize it in a second
your libertarianism is just a cover story for throwing your fellow man on the curb (and don't start with the charity bullshit, it's tax deductible and a way to ease your conscience, not a way to actually fix problems)
Worshipping the military and being an individualist society are not mutually exclusive. There's no mandatory military service. You don't have to worship the military.
Germans but instead of closed in autism the kind of austism where they're constantly saying something but it means nothing and they talked really slowly like they're disabled
>a euro doesn't understand what individualism is
wow
what a shock
did not expect this
completely unexpected
I can't see anything of these things in Germany.
butthurt murricans
>no argument
>u b-butthurt
Clockwork
like your "arguments" were any better
You just said they didn't understand it with no argument
Go wage slave for my defence budget and sheklenburg, ant boy
Wasn't me but he was right, he doesn't understand it. Dumb bogan
checked
>You don't have to worship the military.
but you do have to pay taxes towards it
I just think it's a bit hypocritical for conservative Americans rally so hard against socialism and collectivism yet spend an absurd amount of money on your COLLECTIVE defence.
Without the American military the comfortable world order that has acted as a shield around the West and her allies collapses. Yes an enormous military that can deploy itself in any part of the world at rapid speeds is much different from the original Continental Army and what our founding fathers envisioned. It's called realpolitik.
I'm not disputing the utility of your military.
