As I understand, in Japanese, you equally emphasize each syllable. For example:

Also the l/r is swapped sometimes, but he is better than most. ie. in his video, he says "twliggered" instead of triggered.
But I know how hard it is to speak "new" sounds if you didn't grow up with them. I can't even pronounce my grandmother's name because she has a dutch "g" sound. Whenever I try to say it, it comes out wrong, and I can't even notice the difference.

Not quite right. Japanese words have emphasis, it's just that it's expressed through a change in pitch rather than stress.

I think non native speakers should not be embarrased about their accent. I hate this trend of Asians adopting valley girl type accent when speaking English. Aussies, Kiwis, Scots, Canucks, Irish, chavs all unashamedly speak like they have marbles in their mouth or sinus infections. So why not sound like Japanese, or Thai or Chinese or Malay when speaking English?
