What does int think of American cars?
What does int think of American cars?
Ford Fiesta is one of the most popular cars in the UK, they pretty much designed it for the UK market though.
The rest aren't really practical.
Cool but nothing is cooler than watching european rally cars climb mountains in America
Euros aren't really into cars like Americans are so don't expect any replies
We're more into bicycles
>Formula One vs Driving in a circle for several hours
Hmmm
>circle
um acktually it's an oval
amercian cars from 60's are god tier
Yeah, I could imagine collecting old "dollar smiles" and muscle cars.
New burger cars? Trash.
Nascar isn't the only sport here. Hillclimbing is also pretty popular
>zero Euro cars under 200k that can beat a Viper ACR around a track
>zero Euro cars under 100k that can beat a GT350R or track pack Camaro ZL1 around a track
Pretty fucking based.
>muh flappy paddles and heritage is worth triple the price
Do you actually believe this or are you intentionally being as American as possible?
Kino.
our lower classes (basically 99% of the South) do this thing called mudding
Most of them too big and heavy. But looks nice and reliable.
I always kinda wanted to do a road trip trough the us in one of these
Sadly modern american cars are honestly pretty boring
are you talking about our people or our cars
This, damn old good cars! Why can't they give me a simple mobile with 4 wheels these days? I don't want an AC and I don't want all that electric stuff in my car, if I can safe 10k. I just want a car.
also, pic, the good old Opel Diplomat
this shit is cash

Europeans are too poor to afford them.
My dad has a few of those, fun to drive but not very comfy, also loud.
I had a 77, most shitty year ever for Corvettes.
I think that Opel has high-perf cam in it, sounds cool
Undoubtedly the shittiest in the whole world
huge chunks of wasted iron and steel that burn gasoline faster than if it were lit on fire
I mean, how the fuck do you even achieve that?
Cars are either Jap or German
Opel was the only car manufacturer inspired by American Cars. They sold quite alot of them here. I love the old American way of life. You had great cars. I wish they would simply continue building them.
>Mustangs are cheaper in Canada than anywhere else in the world
Feels good man
My dad was an engineer for GM, they would test new parts.
After testing many were supposed to be destroyed, but nothing ever was destroyed, all the guys took it home.
It was great, my dad and most of his friends all have many old cars, chrome bumper era cars, my dad even has a Pink Cadillac, lel.
I enjoyed not having to deal with too much safety shit on cars here when I was younger. We would build cars out of junk cars, then go purposely fuck them up, and do it again.
>Sadly modern american cars are honestly pretty boring
Cars in the 1960s were pretty boring for the most part as well.
The 50's had big fins and chrome everything, 60's was a little less flashy, late 60's to 1971 was big muscle era, then in 1972 all the pollution control stuff took away too much power.
For me it's mostly about the big boxy cars, the soft suspensions, a big front and bag seat almost like a couch, the overall style. Today's cars are not built like this anymore, sadly and I don't know why. I guess it's safety reasons.
I know what you need.
This was the smoothest, most quiet, most square car I ever had. It had a 7 liter engine, mine was same year here but black with burgundy red interior.
^This. People tend to highly cherry-pick cars from that era to show a select small number of performance vehicles when the overwhelming majority of cars on the road back then were uninteresting grocery-getters.
You can actually get a 911 Turbo S for this price, or a wide range of other Porsche models. They are quite cheap sports cars.
>I had a 77, most shitty year ever for Corvettes
Unfortunately those shitty late 70s Corvettes are far more common than any other vintage; sales in 1978 topped 50,000 units, an all-time record.
my cousin have it
>amercian cars from 60's are god tier
Nah.
I like this one. It's just the perfect car.
Putting aside the boomer romanticism of the things, they're really pretty bad by all objective metrics.
You wouldn't say these are great cars if you tried to drive one.
too big
Would probably be lots of fun in the summer, if I was a mechanic due to questionable reliability. I'd say the same about old European cars when it comes to reliability, but they are more driveable on our narrow Norwegian roads.
Here's a Swede driving a truck in Norway. Looks really fucking sketchy if you ask me.

You ruined Saab
Ford, GM, Chrysler a shit
Been working for a Japanese car company in the US
ama
I recommend to drive through the alps. It's much better desu. The coast or the north is quite boring and flat from my experience.
Do you get any shit from other Americans for working with a foreign car manufacturer?
Wouldn't mind driving around in a Dodge Challenger or a Dodge Ram 2500. Of course it's impossible to afford the fuel consumption of such a car here so I'll stick to my 90HP 4 litre Yurocar.
Americans worship Japanese cars here
they look good, but the technology is crap compared to german or jap cars
I see Mustangs almost every day.
I'd say that modern american cars are on par with foreign cars.
Why would I spend more money on something exotic that will rust even quicker than cars built here and for our conditions. Maybe if the roads weren't literally coated in salt and gravel that eats up the car I would dare to buy something like OP.
Interiorwise no, but muscle cars have their own unique appeal.
I'm talking about the technology under the hood
>Euros aren't really into cars like Americans
And that was the dumbest thing I've heard this week...
Guess what? We Swedes hold the worlds largest American car meet. Yes, biggest car meet. In Sweden. All American cars.
>pic related
And circuit, rally, folk racing, hillclimbs, F1 etc is huge in Sweden/Europe.
And don't forget huge illegal racing scenes.
Like Stockholm Open here in Sweden etc. 1320 Video on youtube (Americans) named it the most insane street race ever.
>youtube.com
Saying Europeans isn't into cars is like saying Americans isn't into guns...
You beat me to it. Never miss Power Meet.
Also don't forget Gatebil etc.
sounds like a good time
It's great. Also living 5 minutes from a mall parking lot where there is monthly car meets (mostly tuners etc) every Sunday is fun.
This is just a 90k city but 2500-3000 cars ins't unusual at all. Big cruising through town etc. Meet Of The Month.
Stuff like that is super common around Scandinavia.
>Rules that prevent you from going faster vs the most watched sporting event in the world
Hmm
Anyone /muscle/ here?
