3rd worlders, any positive changes?

Is anything going well? Do you see your country becoming a livable, decent, developed country in your lifetime?

>Panama
>I prefer to keep skeptic, but there is some hope.

I'll probably still get robbed.

this
For me the most important thing is not the infrastructure but the development of society. What is the purpose of having nice streets if they are not safe?

Yeah, we've seen much improvement for the last 25 years.

>Do you see your country becoming a livable, decent, developed country in your lifetime?

Well, it depends on what "livable" means. If it means that we catch up with western countries in terms of salaries - it will never happen. I doubt we will stop emigration either. But the living standards are gradually improving, people have better cars, apartments, infrastructure is getting better as well. I think Poland will have become a relatively decent country to live by 2030.

Btw, Panama doesn't look poor at all, your capital has one of the best skylines in the world.

no

yes, america is shithole compared to us

I wonder if that's what Chinese really think

One of the goals of architecture and urbanism is to make streets safer. You are way less likely to get mugged well-lighted, properly designed avenue than in a random shady street with an expontaneous form that hinders visibility and mobility.

its true. just look at the subway and compare

no

Public transport is not a good way to compare countries, since America is car-oriented and way more individualist than collectivist, communist China. Commie countries tend to have better public transport, but it doesn't mean they're better overall.

>Do you see your country becoming a livable, decent, developed country in your lifetime?

No, everything gets only worse.
This country will never become a livable and decent place - neither in my lifetime, nor even thousands of years after it.

what about america homeless people everywhere

Actually yes.

>tfw studying here and planning to come back when finished to help country grow up

Attached: 1523817171914.png (400x400, 30K)

I started using a toilet yesterday. :)

price of liberalism, in China they probably send homeless people to prison or simply kill them

Survival of the fittest, they're culled before they can become homeless adults. I mean, if a child can't survive being run over by a car with no help how is he to survive in general?

Countries that will joind developed status soon:

Panama
Poland
Chile

Maybe Malaysia

URRA!!!

There are like 20+ more countries that are about to become developed, including all of Central-Eastern Europe and many Asian countries.

very good pajeet

Where are you from?

mfw Africans will soon start moving to Poland

Polish development is really impressive. My father has been to Poland shortly after communism fell and had horrible stories. I went again 2 years ago and saw a nice well developed country.

Poland has been the 3rd fastest developing country in the world since 1990, after China and Vietnam, excluding microstates. That's a stunning achievement indeed. But it's still a long way until we reach basic social institutions that are taken for granted in western Europe. And the politics is very unstable here (and very conservative by European standards), that's a serious obstacle that hinders our "social growth". No matter how high your GDP is, your country can't be livable and developed if 80% of population go to church every Sunday and hate gays.

It will never happen, because of what is said above. Our society is extremely conservative.

Attached: screenshot-en.wikipedia.org-2018.05.01-09-53-26.jpg (1296x209, 55K)

No, shitaly is and will always remain a third world shithole

no.

Our society was more conservative, religious and divided than Poland ever was and 50 years later we have driveby shootings, beheadings and aids. Change will come

>Our society was more conservative, religious and divided than Poland ever was

Maybe in the 1600s. It has little to do with what happens now.

>Change will come

Maybe, but it's not correlated with the economic growth. Our economy grows faster than our mentality changes. Poland will be some kind of the European Texas in 20 years.

>Australia
Feels like we're trying our damned to ruin our relevance to the world and become third world.
I don't have much hope for our future and most people don't care, wanting to cling to a dying mining industry and hoping they'll win the lottery so everyone else can go fuck themselves

Attached: IMG_2065.png (750x1334, 67K)

Your country's situation is better than 50 years ago?

Attached: pew research.png (480x1150, 276K)

I would say my country has definitely taken a dramatic turn for the worse

>all these African countries saying life under colonial occupation was better than independence

Based

>can't be livable and developed if 80% of population go to church every Sunday and hate gays.
Don't fall for the Hollywood lies. Achieving development and maintaining your traditions is like a dream come true. Otherwise you selfhate amd selfdestruct

Its getting better but still long way to go

Like its nice place to live already but when your direct neighbors are Germany and Austria your standards are quite high

We are already "richer" than Greece and Portugal and next year we should surpass Italy but our goal was always Germany

Does the country look much like germany but just has a lower amount of disposable income?

>Achieving development and maintaining your traditions is like a dream come true

More like it's a wet dream of right wingers but it never happens. The more religious your society is, the more backward and less developed it is.

>Does the country look much like germany

Like Eastern Germany, i.e. a lot of commieblocks everywhere. And gypsies instead of black refugees.

Infrastructure is worse and people are poorer

But if you are standing in the middle of some city therr is almost no difference

But when you go to the suburbs, you immediately see the difference

google.pl/maps/@49.1765375,16.5548492,3a,60y,116.56h,101.32t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sTPY4hdm6pcFus28IlS9kMQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

Is this true for Slovenia as well do you know?

The last village here got electricity today, so, yeah, we're improving, albeit slowly

Not at all. Slovenia looks like a typical western European country, it's almost indistinguishable from Austria in most of cases. They have very few commieblocks and their infrastructure is top-tier.

They have lower income than Austrians though.

Are they trying to eradicate the slums?
I see. My street view adventures there have always been nice of course there's only so much you can know from that alone.

>backward
>less developed

Nonsense words
If you get high GDP per capita and manage to keep your identity you get a win win, you do not really need to follow western values if you don't need to. These values will last a few decades and then change again.

Malaysia
>Is anything going well?
It kinda is but not really
Do you see your country becoming a livable, decent, developed country in your lifetime?
It already is tbf
Its really comfy here

just stop being poor

>If you get high GDP per capita and manage to keep your identity

The problem is that no one can do it, except for oil-based economies like Saudi Arabia, but it's an exception.

Religious, backward people feel no incenitives to get richer. Every religion that is aimed at making people richer (like protestantism or calvinism) always end up as de facto cult of materialism and therefore - atheism.

China is doing that and it’s making people nervous. Maybe it’s better if poor people stay poor forever.

>all these Eastern European countries saying life under communism was better than capitalism

Attached: Anniv-of-Fall-of-Soviet-Union-20110044.png (291x268, 9K)

they're just idiots

Well that was in the middle of economic crisis

This "economic crisis" was still way better than "prosperity" in communism. I don't remember shortage of bananas in 2011.

Yeah but this is more about optimism for future mixed with ostalgia

> Citizens have to pay thousands for a car, fuel, insurance, taxes to build & maintain roads
> Citizens pay tens and ride the train

hmmmmmm.....

We're in a weird spot, supplicant to China for money, but culturally / historically supplicant to USA / GBE

When WW3 happens who will we side with?

Why do you think trains and railways are cheap? Maintenance of trains and a dense rail network costs a lot.

And Americans can simply afford cars and car infrastructure so who cares how much it costs. It's just different mentality.

Texas is full of goblinos. You think religiosity prevents invasion by third worlders? Have you been paying attention to pope francis lately?

You sound like a moronic shitlib. Try spending some time in an Arab country or Pakistan, even if just as an student on a exchange or for short work. Your nonsense about "extremely conservative" will melt away.

Nothing more annoying than shitlibs who haven't travelled a lot and think that the yardstick of political development is the West. South Korea has more conservative opinions on gays than you do and they are far more developed.

As I said, shitlibs with limited horizons and knowledge of the world are the worst because they often think they are enlightened. Just stop being ignorant.

More shitlib idiocy. What is South Korea. They reject multiculti and they are on par with France in per capita GDP.

Stop being an ignorant idiot.

No, it's only getting worse.

Do most Ukrainians regret Maidan now?

...

>your country can't be livable and developed if 80% of population go to church every Sunday and hate gays.
kys unironically

What does "multiculti" have to do with being religious or not? The vast majority of Koreans are agnostic.

any serious arguments?

Can you please link me the wiki article? Tnx.

Actually yes, but the starting point is so low.

Most ukrainians are retarded bydlo. They will never accept that they got fucked in the ass yet another time. Maybe next time think before electing a literal oligarch in one round.
But actions speak louder than words, millions GTFO of the country past 4 years.

No. Even though maidan destroyed the country's economy, still, it made people believe in their own nation and emphasize national values more.

You can rebuild your economy pretty easily (Central-Eastern Europe is a good example, in 1990 they were extremely poor, now they're more or less ok), but it's much, much harder to rebuild your national identity. Ukrainians have embarked on that project and they will succeed, I'm sure about it. When Ukrainian national identity is already revived, people speak only Ukrainian and English, but not Russian, rebuilding the economy will be easy peasy.

Is Panama comfy? I want to move there one day

Suitcase - train station - Moscow

>Is anything going well? Do you see your country becoming a livable, decent, developed country in your lifetime?
no

Attached: 4516ef21b45f103279dcc9de2467dafe.jpg (720x540, 89K)

>When Ukrainian national identity is already revived, people speak only Ukrainian and English,
What's the point to forgetting Russian lang? Isn't it cool to keep both these languages + English? Also Ukrainian is absolutely useless language. No culture, no science, no international interactions.
>in 1990 they were extremely poor, now they're more or less ok)
In case of Ukraine things works backwards.

>ITT children think you can eat the new pavement

no you cant and the majority of your countrymen will still have miserable lives, you possibly becoming the exception doesnt mean the opposite, it just mean you became americanized enough to not care about your fellow brothers and sisters

I miss communism

He still believes unicef propaganda

Even in sub-Saharan africa there is obese epidemic and no obe is starving

we actually are undeveloping

Understandable. Poland was just as miserable under communism as under the EU.

what the fook are you talking about.
Unemployment is at all time low in Poland. You literally have to be unwilling to work to not get a job right now, something that was considered "a dream" 10 years ago.
Wages are low sure - you aren't going to reverse the effects of the last century within 20 year but living even on minimum wage is possible.

>>ITT children think you can eat the new pavement
No but I can use that new pavement to walk to work without tripping over and breaking my arm.

Poles are happier than Norwegians, that's for sure.

Dunno, the Poles I've worked with seem indifferent to everything. That's not happy to me. I'd say you're happier if you openly complain about everything rather than being indifferent to everything.

>What's the point to forgetting Russian lang?

Because Ukrainians should speak Ukrainian.

> Isn't it cool to keep both these languages + English?

No, Russian isn't cool.

>Also Ukrainian is absolutely useless language. No culture, no science, no international interactions.

Pure butthurt. If it's all about "culture, science" etc., then Russian is equally useless and we all should speak only English.

>the Poles I've worked with

>Norwegian working with Poles

how low you have fallen

>I'd say you're happier if you openly complain about everything rather than being indifferent to everything.

Poles love complaining, but they don't complain in a foreign country aloud because they don't want to get kicked out, that's obvious.

Makes sense, under communism they have an excuse to be underdeveloped shitholes.

Panamas flag is so kino

Attached: 1524152567417.png (1260x892, 298K)

The developed world is growing slower every year
You will never catch up

I worked with customers in a car hiring company while they washed cars in the back. It's like that when Poles or others are hired through one of those sleazy agencies.

Swedes complain about Norway as much as they complain about Sweden, and they don't get kicked out. They don't want to be in Norway longer than they have to, just like everyone else, though.

>car hiring company

how do you hire them

>and they don't get kicked out.

>comparing rights of Polish workers to rights of Swedish workers

>your country can't be livable and developed if 80% of population go to church every Sunday and hate gays.
fuck off fagot

Shiet, I meant rental.

you can't get deported from a western/northern european country for talking shit about it, you mongoloid

"oh, why, yes, today we'll be deporting pawel pawlovsky for saying norway is boring and shit!!!"

"get him on the next flight to krakow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

dumb shit

poland is not a 3rd world country maciek, do you need to attentionwhore in every topic about poland?

>poland is not a 3rd world country maciek
it is and will remain a 3rd world country for another 30 years.

most of countries posting here are not third world desu

but you can lose your job which means that you'll have to leave it anyway

you should travel a bit and get a clue

You never been to a poor country
