All Swedish wars have always been basically Finnish wars. In The Thirty Years War Swedish cavalry consisted of 60 % Finns and 40 % Swedes. Their infantry on the other hand consisted mostly of Finns and British mercenary. Swedes themselves avoided recruiting Swedes. But, Finns were in reality the only ones to suffer because of the Swedes, so many times. I guess there is some kind of karma going on though.
