The Western slave trade happened at the start of industrial scale agriculture when people found out large scale farming is more profitable but the machines needed to do this were still unproven. So they needed cheap manpower and the slave trade ramped up. Before this, slaves were a luxury and treated better since they were an investment, not a commodity.

Well, I don't know anything about slavery in Europe during times when the West started direct contacts with you and started colonization of Asia. It were only Americans who used slave labour by that time and it was due to their current economical situation.
Africans were viewed by them as subhumans. Even Africans realized that currently they can't be a winning side in comparison with whities, so they were easy to enslave.
On the other hand, I can't see how a Chinese guy can be enslaved by Europeans/Americans. He's not barbarian who eats people and worships cocks.

As for Native Americans, they were literally still in the stone age and hadn't discovered even swords yet. And North American natives who were pretty peaceful just died to Diseases from europeans that they weren't exposed to. Central and Southern American Native Americans were pretty violent in their culture and the same thing - disease killed fucking all of them. And as I said before, there just wasn't the same level of respect.
You go to Asia and you honestly see legitimate intelligence, Architecture, law, art, farming (FARMING goddamnit nobody else did this) etc. And perhaps it wasn't as easy/a bit more fucked up.
Basically, Africans were selling themselves and Native Americans had very valuable land and the political climate at the time many wanted to immigrate from Europe for various reasons. And it was """""easy"""""(er).

slavery was easy with africa because the west african despotic governments would have no problem sending their political prisoners and criminals away to slavery for modern firearms in return, it solved two problems at once
eastern asian states were far more organized and insular, allowing these institutions to resist these deals
also, the main reason why slavery was even permitted by the religious institutions of the time was due to claims of african inferiority, and they were identified as subhumans, whereas with east asian peoples, there wasn't near as much inferiority placed on them, and instead there was even praise for their stability, organization of labour and the whole orientalist perspective of eastern mysticism
the first time when a western power could actually subjugate and/or massacre a people was after China basically stopped technologically progressing for hundreds of years and basically everyone was on heroin

africans and native americans didn't produce anything significant (except for maybe the iroquois early on), so it was only profitable to replace them, while east asians produced goods that the west wanted (tea, porcelain, silk, etc.) so it was more profitable to let them live and sell them opium for their desired products. Wars and massacres are more expensive than selling drugs after all.
