Atrocious edition.

This is a Repeal general sweaty :)

To add more gravity to his personal view by pretending to be directly involved in the medical profession I suppose.
The concerning part is how it shows the pro-life campaigners ran the ad campaign either without validating his story or did so knowing they were intentionally misleading.

In hindsight Enda was a bit of a shite leader.

He was alright desu. Feels like so long ago now.
Leo is a bit too much of a smug cunt for my liking.
Wonder if putting Alan Kelly in charge would improve things for Labour? Not making much progress otherwise.

Why do people like Leo again?

They really have nothing to lose.

Good public speaker combined with honeymoon period.

Trendy hip young gay immigrant fellow.

Doing anything fun today lads or just enjoying the sun?

Shall go for a walk and that's probably about it.
What will you be doing user? Would you like to do something?

Might take a drive to a lake nearby since it's such a nice day. Otherwise the day will be spent optimally playing video games.

Too sick to enjoy the sun. Might get back into Breath of the Wild.

I'd like to go for a walk but I'm too tired, if I had a car I'd like to some buy cans and go drink them by the canal and do a bit of makeshift fishing, though I have no one to go with

Enjoy your walk user-kun

Sounds nice

>if I had a car I'd like to some buy cans and go drink them by the canal
How would you drive home?

Have any games we could play together? :D

What has you sick?

Umm, the car?

>What has you sick?
A sickness. A terrible sickness that makes me sick. Probably just a minor cold really, the sore throat is the worst part.

Went to London yesterday. A load of NI feminists were outside Parliament chanting to legalise abortion in NI (can't protest outside Stormont after all hey)

You get the idea

So we walk on, go on the London Eye, have fun

Back to feminist rally to get to Tube

>Pro life rally comes marching around the corner

Lovely flag on a Summer's day.

Hope you feel better soon user.

Could it be allergies?

How very social of you. I probably do although I've been mostly playing single player games, was thinking of resubbing to WoW again although that's likely not wise.

Attached: 1524861134052.jpg (1280x1279, 109K)

I don't think it's allergies, as I don't think I'm allergic to anything, but it could be, there's no real way to know for certain I suppose

>was thinking of resubbing to WoW again although that's likely not wise
Was getting a similar itch to play again a month or two ago.
I haven't even completed most of the last expansion so it would be a significant time investment to get back up to speed.
Presume pre-ordering the next expansion will give a free boost to the level cap like before?

Attached: 1512566409698.jpg (1920x1080, 139K)

Yes, you get the level boost token thing straight away after pre-ordering. A lot of the current systems like artifact weapons are being replaced in the new expansion so I wouldn't worry too much about catching up, lots of time to do that when leveling to 120 or whatever the new cap is.
I played it last week since Blizzard sent me a free trial and the guildees I spoke to who are usually miserable and bored at this late stage in an expansion were quite positive on the state of the endgame at the moment and general class balance, which was surprising to me so maybe I'll get sucked back into it again over the summer.

Attached: 1509565596777.png (578x650, 343K)

Any one else unironically an incel here?

Frogposters amach

Hello brother, your wrath should be directed at the vile roasties and not a humble incel like me

Incels only have themselves to blame.

>incel
Still barely know what this is and I don't want to know.

>current systems like artifact weapons are being replaced in the new expansion so I wouldn't worry too much about catching up
Was more so thinking about the leveling of characters to 110 or whatever the current cap is. I mean it would probably be feasible to get it done in a week or two but that in itself is quite the investment for me.
>were quite positive on the state of the endgame at the moment and general class balance
Certainly seems to be one of the more well received expansion in contrast to I believe WoD which had a terrible endgame? I'm not expert as I rarely play outside of the first month or two of each expansion as I am never really able to find a guild or group of people to do the content with.
>maybe I'll get sucked back into it again over the summer
What kind of toons do you have? They all at 110?

Not true.
It's actually a combination of reasons that includes the vapid state of our societies fraternising culture that suits chads and stacys, feminists and their vile toxic femininity roastie ways that gives roasties all the power when it comes to relationships and unrealistic male beauty and status standards.

It's actually a societal problem that the government should look to redress.

Abhorrent edition.

You're a societal problem.

How about nationalists like fiery politicians?

>I mean it would probably be feasible to get it done in a week or two but that in itself is quite the investment for me.
They usually patch it as an expansion goes on to speed things so you could probably do it in maybe 10 hours or so total if you have the xp heirlooms. It's a bit of time but it's not that taxing so it's ideal for multitasking while listening to podcasts or something.

>I believe WoD which had a terrible endgame
That turned into a bit of a disaster with the garrisons since everyone just sat in their personal garrison all the time and the world itself felt dead and empty.

>I am never really able to find a guild or group of people to do the content with.
It's ideal to try and get a guild sorted before a new expansion since they tend to be too busy to recruit when the new content hits. Have you never joined the sort of guilds advertised on trade chat?

>What kind of toons do you have? They all at 110?
I have a few which have been different mains on different expansions but a resto/ele shaman was my most recent and I have a rogue at 110 as well. I haven't played it in a year so never got round to leveling up the others.

Signing on tomorrow so I need to lie about the jobs I applied for.

In what way do you think the government should redress it? Tax incentives for women to date virgin men?

If by fiery you mean passionate and inspiring, I can't really say I buy into much that she says. She rarely makes compelling arguments and is often just making mountains out of molehills for political points. While the latter is generally true for opposition parties in general. I take issue with Mary Lou receiving undue praise for it simply because she's "fiery".

Forgot the most important question, which faction?
>Have you never joined the sort of guilds advertised on trade chat?
They always seemed to have specific requirements like "looking for experienced DPS for heroics" etc. as opposed to "all players welcome". Either that or some massive guild with thousands of members who don't bother talking and are probably just their for the purposes of those bonus leveling guild perks?
Maybe I'm not looking hard enough or am dismembering desu. I've always found it a bit difficult to join new gaming groups in general so many that contributes to it a bit as well.

>I take issue with Mary Lou receiving undue praise
We know desu, you don't like SF threatening the FG/FF hegemony. If anyone is too popular then it's Leo.

>He was alright desu
Are you saying here that Enda was an alright leader or a shite leader?

>Wonder if putting Alan Kelly in charge would improve things for Labour?
The "I'm addicted to power" man who barely held onto his own seat in the last election?

Truly a blessing.

>If anyone is too popular then it's Leo.
Honesty expected him to have a more significant honeymoon period, but I wouldn't say that he's "too" popular for a Taoiseach during relatively prosperous and stable times. There have been scandals, but he seems more adept than Enda was at keeping his distance from them (except in the case of Frances Fitzgerald).

Why do Pakis all smell like potpourri lads?

Why the hell were there abortion campaigns in London?

The water in that picture is very poorly drawn.

Not fond of this plan for Dublin to steal water from the Shannon. What compounds the issue is that Dublin's "water shortage" stems from their own shitty piping infrastructure more than anything else.

What's wrong with it? I think it looks nice.

Attached: 1507245920236.png (768x768, 536K)

>The "I'm addicted to power" man who barely held onto his own seat in the last election?
Oui. They aren't going to make any progress at the current rate. Change of leadership mightn't make people more inclined to vote for them, but Kelly is arguably even more shouty and angry than Mary Lou so he is bound to attract a bit more media attention. Plus it isn't like they could lose anymore votes.
>Are you saying here that Enda was an alright leader or a shite leader?
I was saying he was alright as indicated by the statement "he was alright". In fairness I've sort of forgotten his tenure and I probably wasn't as politically interested/active for a large part of it. Think perhaps the coverage of his trip to Washington may be tinting my view somewhat.
Is that a terribly misguided opinion to hold?
>joyous graf
Delet this.

>Dublin's "water shortage" stems from their own shitty piping infrastructure
It would be next to impossible to repair it though. Irish Water were on the radio discussing it a few weeks ago and said the leakage rate was around 30% and it could at most be reduced by 1% a year and even at that it would be expensive and may cause massive disruption. It's a common feature of British-build cities apparently, London has somewhere in the region of 20-30% and they've invested a lot of money and time to get it to that state.
Most old European cities also have a leakage rate of like 15% and getting it below that is thought to be very difficult. Even cities that were rebuilt after WWII have a similar leakage rate.
>steal water from the Shannon
Leakage or not they would still probably need water from somewhere to match population growth. Also maybe them taking water would help reduce flooding even a little bit along the Shannon? It's been quite bad there in recent years.

Look at her hands, absolutely terrible work.

>They aren't going to make any progress at the current rate
I agree, and Alan Kelly certainly seems to be gunning for that leadership position by putting himself in the limelight at every possible opportunity. But he certainly isn't archetypal Labour leadership material. Does he even have any typical "Labour credentials" in his background?

>but Kelly is arguably even more shouty and angry than Mary Lou
He certainly doesn't shout as much, and I haven't seen him visibly angry all that often.

>I was saying he was alright as indicated by the statement "he was alright"
That could have been interpreted as a statement of confirmation following the quote "Enda was a bit of a shite leader".

>Is that a terribly misguided opinion to hold?
Nah, I think Enda did alright too. Not amazing, but history will be kind to him.

>Delet this.
The rarity of a joyous Graf makes it all the more special.

Was he not extremely agitated in the Dáil this week with Minister Harris and calling the Commission of Inquiry or whatever it was a waste of time and that HSE/HIQA (or however it is spelt) should not be allowed to self-investigate?
I don't hear Mary Lou speak very much but Kelly always seemed extremely fiery and passionate, as emphasised by his celebration on being reelected.

>Was he not extremely agitated in the Dáil this week with Minister Harris and calling the Commission of Inquiry or whatever it was a waste of time and that HSE/HIQA (or however it is spelt) should not be allowed to self-investigate?

Disgraceful desu, you shouldn't be allowed hold political opinions at all. Should give your vote to me instead, shall use it more wisely ;)

Speaking of political opinions, was on a pro-aborting subreddit earlier.... was quite the read.

>It would be next to impossible to repair it though.
I still don't see that as a justification to steal the water from halfway across the country though. DCC didn't plan accordingly when the city was growing and now their short-sighted decisions are paying unfortunate but not unforeseen dividends. And as usual, it's the rest of the country that has to pay for Dublin's fuck-up.

>Leakage or not they would still probably need water from somewhere to match population growth
Wouldn't be a problem if there was proper development of Ireland's second and third cities.

>Also maybe them taking water would help reduce flooding even a little bit along the Shannon?
Not really, although it would depend where exactly on the course of the river the water is taken from and how. Regardless, Shannon flooding is more of a seasonal and geographic issue than a pure fluvial volume problem.

Attached: 1496433581413.jpg (899x1273, 239K)

>Indeed, you should be smug
I never interpreted that image as smug. Moreso mild bemusement.

Why would you do that to yourself? How bad was it?

Attached: 1495151917194.jpg (2481x3508, 460K)

It's just water.

>DCC didn't plan accordingly when the city was growing
How so exactly? In regards to leaky pipes or otherwise?
>it's the rest of the country that has to pay for Dublin's fuck-up
In what other ways do we usually suffer? And is the argument that the revenue from the likes of Dublin helps subsidises other parts other country not true?
>Wouldn't be a problem if there was proper development of Ireland's second and third cities
Not something DCC or Irish Water are responsible for or can do anything about.
>Shannon flooding is more of a seasonal and geographic issue than a pure fluvial volume problem
Sure, but reducing the fluvial volume all year round would decrease the impact of seasonal spikes, at least somewhat?

If it wasn't for water, there would be no life on this planet.

Attached: 1525176218413.jpg (800x1119, 231K)

>image
Quite big.

Who really cares that Dublin is going to source water from the Shannon basin? You just have a resentful parochial mindset. It's hardly a big deal.

>How so exactly? In regards to leaky pipes or otherwise?
There are steps that can be taken to reduce and control water consumption so that it doesn't outstrip the resources of the location, both in terms of infrastructure and practices.

>In what other ways do we usually suffer?
DAA throttling Cork airport would be a good example off the top of my head. It's representative of the Dublin mindset that only the capital should succeed and prosper at the expense of everywhere else. Look how difficult the battle was to get the green light for a motorway between our second and third largest city, despite the fact that all but one of our existing motorways are connected with Dublin.

>Not something DCC or Irish Water are responsible for or can do anything about.
I didn't say that it was.

>Sure, but reducing the fluvial volume all year round would decrease the impact of seasonal spikes, at least somewhat?
I haven't seen any data on the issue, but simply removing water from the Shannon won't necessarily solve the flooding issue. There are other contributory factors too.

>My responsibility as a centrist to listen to both extremes in an effort to further aid the centrist status quo cause. A true inspirational hero, I know.
Godspeed in your righteous cause.

>Then that Reddit girl that was discussed the other night was there and whilst initially civil, soon got tired of the on the fence person asking questions and "not getting it".
So Howth was right?

Very Dublin attitude there desu.

>DAA throttling Cork airport would be a good example off the top of my head.
What did they do?

>the Dublin mindset that only the capital should succeed and prosper at the expense of everywhere else
>Look how difficult the battle was to get the green light for a motorway between our second and third largest city
Who do you think is primarily to blame for this?
>So Howth was right?
The person with Sweden flag? I wouldn't jump very quickly to siding with someone who says they would rape, bounce a head off the toilet and forcefully impregnate etc.
She did say something which I found somewhat amusing about being asked to hold her cousin's new born child and refusing because she really didn't like children/babies.
I mean I don't like them either but I don't think I would offend my relations or cause a scene over just holding a baby in my arms for a minute.

DAA manages Cork airport and doesn't want it to compete with Dublin airport (especially when Dublin airport was trying to secure funds for a second runway). One of the most notable cases occurred shortly after the new terminal was built at Cork airport. Ryanair offered to buy the old terminal and use it as their base of operations at Cork. The old terminal was ancient and out of use at the time, but with some investment it could have been a sizable Ryanair hub that had the potential increase Cork's capacity and make it a much more important airport. This would inevitably have come at a cost to Dublin airport which is Ryanair's base of operations, so the DAA blocked the purchase.

Attached: 1502895686985.png (800x1131, 1.19M)

Sounds like Shannon airport is lucky so.

Attached: SNN-Munster-Rugby-006-1024x743.jpg (1024x743, 100K)

I suppose there's a symbolic element in it where some may feel over investment in Dublin has lead to forced internal migration to the capital at the detriment of rural Ireland. Those people might see this as evidence of the problem with Dublin's natural resources and infrastructure struggling to cope with further population and maybe the conversation should be more about bringing people to the areas of the country with the resources rather than continuing to funnel everything into Dublin while rural Ireland slowly dies.

>Who do you think is primarily to blame for this?
The government.

>The person with Sweden flag?
Well, at least somebody claiming to be Howth.

>I wouldn't jump very quickly to siding with someone who says they would rape, bounce a head off the toilet and forcefully impregnate etc.
I was only joking. I don't understand his obsession with that particular redditor, nor do I want to.

Excellent post. Couldn't have said it better myself.

And the thing is, despite all the investment and growth in Dublin, it's still a shit city. Although that's more of a planning issue than anything else.

Believe An Post announced said they were planning to reduce the number of post offices recently, right?
Do we all agree that it is inevitable and only makes sound business sense for post offices to close in many rural villages? Depends on where one lives but if it is only and extra fifteen or twenty minutes to the next one then it shouldn't make much difference right?
I mean sure old people might suffer a bit but we can't bend over backwards to cater to them.

Source

>Do we all agree that it is inevitable and only makes sound business sense for post offices to close in many rural villages?
An Post shouldn't be run as a private business. Even in the age of the internet, they still provide many essential services.

On a related note, if An Post want to remain competitive and relevant into the future, they seriously need to improve their package delivery service.

Attached: 1494494200731.jpg (1920x1200, 756K)

Do you go to the post office often? Haven't been there in years.

You have it the wrong way around. There's been internal migration to Dublin for centuries from rural Ireland. Its population has doubled twice in the last century driven by rural relocation to the city. The "over-investment" has been an attempt to meet the demands and pressures of that migration rather than the other way around and there's not much you can do since rural Ireland can't compete with Dublin.

No post offices are closing.

Not often, but I've had to send a few letters by registered post in the past year or so. Also, sometimes a post office is the most reliable place to buy a stamp - a lot of shops in my area don't seem to sell them anymore.

Quite a few of them are being moved into shops though.

This. It's not like Dublin taking water from the Shannon means the locals there are going to be without it or anything. Literally doesn't affect them in anyway, it's just a case of them not wanting Dublin to sort out their water supply issue because of the silly "them vs us" mentality that the West holds Dublin to

If DAA was truly determined to keep Ryanair’s base of operations in DUB they’d agree to build the second runway and third terminal already. Dublin airport is way too congested, especially with the two of the most successful airlines in Europe operating out of it

It's a chicken vs. egg scenario really. Dublin receives more investment because more people live there but more people live there because Dublin receives more investment.

Regardless, the government could take steps to end this cycle but they don't seem to be willing to do so. Hence Dublin continues to grow at the expense of the rest of the country.

Nobody said that locals will necessarily be affected by Dublin taking water from the Shannon, rather it's the principle and what it represents. Dublin can just suck up whatever resources it wants from the rest of the country (water, people) to sustain its growth. That breeds the resentment that leads to the "Us vs. Them" scenario you mentioned. It's hardly an irrational response.

If you had to choose between Cork and Limerick to receive increased investment for infrastructure or whatever which would it be

>they’d agree to build the second runway
I thought that had been agreed within the past year?

>and third terminal already
Is that in the planning stage or just a pie in the sky thing?

>Dublin airport is way too congested, especially with the two of the most successful airlines in Europe operating out of it
Yeah, Dublin airport currently does not have the capacity for all the flights that are being routed through it. The thing is, not all those flights need to go to Dublin. Many people coming to Ireland to go to destinations outside of Dublin are forced through Dublin airport regardless, when their flights might be better served by Shannon or Cork. And it's not like Ryanair are unknown to use secondary or tertiary airports as hubs.

Very cute, but I can't tell whether that chest flat or not.

Attached: 1499134180557.jpg (1601x800, 197K)

It's a similar situation to a lot of loss making train lines in rural areas with pressure being put on to close them.
I can see the arguments but I don't think the country should be run like a business to a point where we're allowing for a decrease in quality of life for those in rural areas by cutting off services.

Cut myself quite badly shaving, lads

Attached: 1525111104538.jpg (367x459, 41K)

>Dublin can just suck up whatever resources it wants from the rest of the country (water, people) to sustain its growth.
Dublin gaining people from elsewhere in the country means those places lose them so I can understand people complaining about that but in the case of Dublin taking water from the Shannon, it has no impact on the supply of water to the locals so as a whole, the country only gains utility-wise from the scheme. Literally nobody has any legitimate reason to oppose it

Attached: 1498771035572.png (1500x1333, 1.72M)

>Regardless, the government could take steps to end this cycle but they don't seem to be willing to do so. Hence Dublin continues to grow at the expense of the rest of the country.
What can they do, do you think?

>Regardless, the government could take steps to end this cycle but they don't seem to be willing to do so.
FF had the right idea with decentralisation but that was incredibly unpopular with Dubs and I think we're now hitting a point where Dublin is connected with so much of the population and controls so much of the media that it'd be political suicide for anyone to try something like that again.

It's a tough decision because they both have serious potential for growth and are in good locations, but I'd have to go with Cork. It's location and port are better for international trade, and it has a bigger population, resource, and enterprise foundation to build upon. That said, we really should try and foster (smart) growth in both cities if at all possible. Cork would never be able to counterbalance Dublin alone.

>but in the case of Dublin taking water from the Shannon, it has no impact on the supply of water to the locals so as a whole
As I said, in the case of the water it's moreso the principle and what it represents.

>the country only gains utility-wise from the scheme
Only Dublin does though.

Attached: 1517190418285.jpg (1422x1000, 1.29M)

It wouldn't be badly spent on either although getting the M20 built should be top of both cities list.

I heard BA wanted to re-route a ton of flights to Heathrow through Dublin because Heathrow is so congested and essentially use it as another runway.

Cork obviously.
