commieblocks are fine if they're well maintained, but of course, they should be restricted to specific zones of the cities, or at least kept out from the historical parts.
also, they should be made in a regular grid pattern and individual blocks of buildings divided up by wide streets. that way, each block becomes a mini community, oftentimes with it's own school, sports courts, shops and caffes.
i used to live in a socialist building block and we were really a community. if you're bored, just go downstairs to the courts and you'll definitely come across some neighbors to hang out with

Because only socialists understood the value in proper future-oriented urban planning revolving around easy access to basic amenities like educational, health and cultural facitilies, leisure areas as well as your workplace to be (ideally) within a walking distance from your place of living.

Commieblocks are nice as long as it's within 5-10 min walk from a subway station. Of course, single family home is better if the location is the same but a single family home that is 5-10 min walk from a subway station is almost nonexistent (and even if there's one, it will be prohibitively expensive)
