Decided to look up what Iran looked like before the Islamic Revolution and it looks exactly like any other Western country. It looked just like America or Britain. How the hell did this revolution ever take flight and throw the entire structure of the country back into the medieval dark ages?

Why do Americans make these kinds of threads? Are there really that ignorant about their own history? It's always the same structure. Some mutt is puzzled by the contemporary circumstances of a certain country or region while being painfully ignorant about the simple fact that their own meddling in other country's affaires was ultimately responsible. I swear we are going to see thread about Iraq very soon.
We only improve other countries by bringing democracy and freedom and human rights. We don't fuck up good countries.
Bringing democracy by toppling the democratically elected government of Iran and supporting the installation of an autocratic monarchy, sure.
