Is Dutch language the most germanic language alive ?

Eng : No added sugar
Fr : Sans sucres ajoutés
Du : Zonder toegevoegde suikers

Eng : Nutritional information
Fr : Information nutritionnelle
Du : Gemiddelde voedingswaarden

nah, that would probably be Icelandic

I'm considering learning Dutch, not 100% yet.

ZUTATEN

>using a comparison with a romance langauge and a romance filled germanic language as the basis

I don't get it

It actually means

average nutritional values
ge-middle-de feedings-worths

It definitely isn't

ge-middle-de feedings-worth-s
gemiddelde voedingswaarden

I just wrote the exact thing that I saw on the cereal package

Dutch has loads of Romance loanwords. Like said it'd probably be Icelandic (because of their purity autism)

I got that. But our language has a lot in common with English. It's just not that obvious because we have a different word order and we use the same words differently.

A britbong won't understand what a middle feedingsworth is.

feedingsworths does sound a lot more germanic than nutritional values.

yea

It is the ugliest language in the world
And Germanic languages are usually ugly

According to the professor who wrote the dictionary about the origin of our words Dutch is 51% romance. In many cases the same words as in English, although we're much more Germanic.

Næringarupplýsingar

Wat bedoel je met romance, romeins zeker?

>Eng : No added sugar
>Du : Zonder toegevoegde suikers
It actually says 'Without added sugars', it's not a very good translation. :^)

Also:

Sw: Utan tillsatt socker (Without added sugar)
Sw: Näringsinformation (Nutritioninformation)

>Is Dutch language the most germanic language alive ?
No lmao

Talen ontsprongen door vermenging van latijns met de inheemse taal: Langue Romaine.

We would say

voedingsinformatie
feedingsinformation

Blame kellogg's for this

In a proper translation it would be food information. But feeding is the grammatical and phonetic match.

>feedingsinformation
