Pretty nice, actually happy my parents decided on Wisconsin instead of California like my cousins. The only sort of racism I actually encountered was from other immigrants, some Indian hotel owner called me an island nigger as a joke apparently and I couldn't say anything because he was friends with my boss and I was told to just let it go.
Funny thing is all of the immigrants I talk to fucking hate illegals and think white people who promote the "No human is illegal" mentality are retarded, I'm only different in that I think we just need a larger force to control existing laws and just keep the ones who actually help the US while kicking the rest out. Though that's almost impossible.

Where in America are you, here in Wisconsin we're getting a lot more of them and the young ones are just as cringy as the internet implies. The ones in their late 20's either try to act like chads but are cringy as fuck or super quiet and already married to another indian girl that never talks.

Went here in my late teen, now in my early 30's. I experience less of 'racism' when I wear my white coat. Same for my parents, whenever they reveal that they are docs (not licensed in the US, only licensed in Korea), people's attitude certainly changes, especially the immigration officers.

That sucks, my Russian buddy who moved here from Serbia when he was younger has a family that fucking hates Russia, probably had something to do with part of his family being murdered by the government which is why they fled to hide in Serbia in the first place. He also joined the Marines and would not hesitate to be against them if we go to war, though it was funny cause he got detained when he joined because they had to scan him as a possible Russian spy.

Well, I came to the US for the dream of becoming a physician scientist or clinical researcher working for either a uni or pharma company.

It is simply not a viable career option in Korea since pharma industry is small and the government doesn't invest that heavily on medical research.

My dad's friend is a prominent medical researcher in Korea who has appeared on several Korean news and he get much less research grant than many professors in mediocre unis in the US (like state uni that is not flagship like Berkeley or UVA).

From my experience Indonesian are nice people. Never met an Indonesian Muslim in this country.
