Will their second independence referendum succeed?

I spoke to some Brits about this and all of them replied no, so no I guess? Everyone expected Brexit after all.
Votes were splitted about 52-48 last time. So it will be definitely Leave outcome next time.
When does it stop being democratic when the politicians just keep having a referendum until they get the result they want?
No, most of us don’t want to leave. Support for the SNP is declining in favour of the Conservatives and Labour. It’s really only Irish-descendants and the miserable underclass in Eastern Glasgow who blame their shortcomings on England who want another referendum.
Wrong. 55.3% for ‘No’ and 44.7% for ‘Yes’. The margin would probably be wider if a second referendum was held which will not happen any time soon.
Are you even Scott? Why do you don't give them a freedom from your oppressive empire?
>UK leaving the EU is bad for the UK
>scotland leaving the UK is good for scotland
pick one morons
well that means they can remain in the EU, so it is good for them
Yes, I am. I am a Lowland Scot.
Is Scots a language or a dialect of English?
No, it isn’t. The only reason we would want to stay in the EU is because we are currently a shameless scrounging state with no principals. We give England shit for no reason.
Scottish culture is basically French one.
Lowland Scotland was settled by Anglo-Saxons like in the England. As you know, the Anglo-Saxons brought Old English with them which then turned into Middle English. Scots branched off from what is Middle English/Northumbrian. I would say that it is a distinct dialect of English that is more closely related to its roots than Modern British English is.
Scotland has historical ties to France, but that’s about it.
Soooo they are more Brits than Brits themselves?
Oh that, "If they attack us then you attack them, and if they attack you we'll send them a letter" agreement that France made with them?
Very thight cultural, historical, religious ties.
French used to consider Scotts their brothers.
Man. You lot really aren't vocal at all though. All you hear online and in public, and even in the media, is how England are the bad guys and Scotland would be better off without us. It's annoying because Scotland is by a long stretch the most privileged member of the UK.
Depends on what you define as a ‘Brit’. The people of the British Isles consist of several ethnic groups with Celtic groups like the Britons, Gaels, & Picts and Germanic groups like the Anglo-Saxons, Jutes, Normans, Scandinavians, Norse, Flemish, & Frisians being the most prominent in modern British DNA.
I hope so. It all depends on the 2 month period before the vote, I think. If we see some big brexit related scandal, I think it will succeed.
The fact is that Scotland is a little country (although we have contributed a lot to the world and possibly some of the most contributions per capita) and France was only allied to us so that we could be a thorn in England’s side. That’s about it. Then we became really poor and England offered a union with us
quite funny when you think the surge of scottish nationalism came from an american film starring mel gibson about some medieval battles england had with them. they are a stupid bunch. loads of them actually dress like bravheart at the rallies and shout freedom. it's sad really.
We’re whiny shits. That’s true. I think that a lot of anti-English sentiment comes from the Thatcher days and it has manifested itself into the conscious of every Scot while being stirred up by cunts like Nicola Sturgeon. I can see why you would just want us to piss off already.
Oh boy. It's complicated.
Do you think a couple of that kind of films would move the Scotts toward 'leave' even more?
Asking for a friend.
What did thatcher do?
Never worn a kilt in my life. Stuff like that is a romanisation of Highland culture. The Gaelic word for the Lowlands means ‘land of the foreigner’. We are Sassanachs to them.
A lot of bad shit.
Cut their welfare. They hate it.
we are brits you mong
bit of a stretch, we were in a defensive pact for a bit, nothing more than that
thatcher was a cunt to last a few lifetimes though
>It's complicated.
It's not really, you're probably just confused because you've used "British" and "English" interchangeably for I don't know how long.
Thatcher was a greatest leader of all times.
She toldya about EU before, she was against it but you never learn.
so the only possible benefit for scottish independence is if they get to join the EU. what if england and wales had voted the other way? just a ridiculous case for it.
scots have a very privileged and cushy position in the union, if they leave then they better pray the EU bails them out because a country the size of birmingham won't fare well without all the protections they take for granted
Shut down a lot of industries like ship building in Scotland and Northern England as it was becoming too expensive and the U.K. was turning into a mainly service-based economy. It was becoming more beneficial for countries like yours to build ships than ours.
>Thatcher was a greatest leader of all times
Lmao, whiny bitch that was so much retarded that Anglos overthrew her themselves
they have oil and gas so i bet it will never happen.
There's even less of an appetite for independence now.
>Soooo they are more Brits than Brits themselves?
What on fuck does that even mean lmao.
So what the rally they had yesterday, huh?
these were men wae a trade
Isn't that what elections are, m8? There's a reason we have elections every 3 years instead of just having one and that's it.
based german BTFOs angloid
This
Scotland will make for a good parkinglot and storing area once the Icelandic empire takes back what belongs to them
This is quite different. If "No" won then I HIGHLY doubt there would be another one in a few years asking if they want to re-join the union because you can't just flip-flop on shit like that.
NEED the Scots to fuck off
>this'll happen again in your lifetime
shame
This. Please, please go, just fuck off already.
