I think that guy bamboozled Jow Forums. A norwegian user actually visited Svalbard once and when you hovered the cursor above his flag it just said 'Norway' like it does when you're in mainland Norway. I'm pretty sure you can only get the Svalbard and Jan Mayen flag when you use a proxy.

no, the flag has to be on the Jow Forums site currently, or else the flag is void. but you can do what you want, the only flags you wont find are western sahara, serbia and montenegro, and gaddafi's libya

In the end, everyone makes their own rules, some people don't give a fuck and grab them from desuarchive but that kills the fun, some others collect from only specific boards, etc.
