They're literally three different words...
What's the problem?

Shit is confusing, but gendered words, tildes, and tu, vos, usted are super annoying too.

Nah I'll probably just laugh at you instead.

>What's the problem?
the pronunciation
at least spanish has consistent phonetic rules, just like italian and finnish

The different pronunciations that "ou" has in each word.

ee and i have different sounds
Americans only really have 1 vowel sound though

sheep and shit don't even sound the same in american pronunciation you petrol huffing abo

You win a greencard if you get it right on the first try.

How do French speakers remember this? I can't do this for every verb

sheep has a long i /ʃiːp/
ship has a sound that sounds close to our ê /ʃJp/

you forgot: thorough, tough & taught

name a single inconsistency in spanish phonetics
hard mode: no loan words from foreign countries

lmao, it's not like you'll need to spell irl, ain't a niBBa listening to your spelling when you're talking

>tough

The only inconsistencies that I find in Spanish are the "r"s in words like sonreír or alrededor

You really think we learn the rules by heart?

It's as stupid as to say that native English speakers need to remember irregular verbs.

but thats not inconsistent, it has clear rules defining when its a hard R and when its not.

vosotros t.b.h.

For a good 30 seconds I was like "those aren't words", but then they actually are. Wtf? biggest brainfart I ever had

>how do i differentiate
you need to develop some kind of autistic radar to detect the subtle differences between those sounds
t. I developed it through the years, problem is sometimes you get the redneck who pronounces it all wrong and you get confused

Are you ok bud?
