Japan surrendered because of Stalin. Look it up, it's an indesputable fact.

The Soviets didn't have the naval nor aerial capability to attack (let alone successfully invade) the Japanese mainland, the US and Britain on the other hand did have such capability. Undoubtedly it was the Western Allied effort that brought the surrender of Japan, even if it upsets your little vatnik brain.

Japan was already weakened and Manchuria supplied them with important ressources.
