I'm a 170 cm manlet myself, so it' not uncommon to see even elementary school girls who are taller than me. if the humiliation wasn't absolute enough, many of them are from notoriously short ethnicities, i.e. arabs.

Big women often hav a tad lower self esteem, this includes women around my height (1.83cm). I have no Problem with that, so it helps me. But as I and they get older they just tend to look for bigger men. Which makes it harder for me.

I have no idea about how society feels, but I think that taller girls are generally considered more feminine and beautiful, and they're appreciated more. Sub-170 cm women are cute and fun to manhandle, but in the end they just feel wrong.
From the average person's perspective, when they see somebody else with a short wife, it might look like they've settled for the low-hanging fruit and haven't made much of an effort. Of course, it's more elaborate than that, and love is a thing, but that's how it will probably be in people's eyes.
